We’re thrilled to officially unleash Dissimulator’s 2nd album « Artifice Dissolves » on the world.

"Borne of the same creative breath that inspired our debut record, the album features 8 new meditations on the consequences of our technological fetish that crank up the anger and lean harder into the thrash side of the band’s sonic signature. With its focus on headbangable riffs and adventurous-yet-tight song structures, Artifice Dissolves showcases our striving to not only pay homage to thrash’s peak era, but also recast the latter’s approach through the stylistic sensibilities borrowed from contemporary extreme metal."

*You can listen to and buy Artifice Dissolves at the link in our bio*

BIOMECHANICAL TABLEAU
Canadian Sci-Fi Death/Thrash band, Dissimulator, is unleashing its new album "Artifice Dissolves" on October 2, 2026. The cover artwork was created by American artist, Noah Cutter Meihoff.

According to the illustrator, this image depicts "an altered human form has ripped out their own brain and spinal cord, triggering a biomechanical transformation. They possess mythological traits that harken to both Icarus with a melting wing and Prometheus with a liver being torn out. Each trait is the consequential result of both the attempt to gain power and grant it."

"Noah Cutter Meihoff really knocked it out of the park with this piece," comments Dissimulator's vocalist/guitarist, Claude Leduc. "It’s the kind of artwork that you can stare at and explore while listening through the album, and we couldn’t be happier!"

Read the complete interview about the making of the artwork at And Justice For Art's official website https://www.andjusticeforart.com/2026/10/album-cover-story-dissimulators.html

Second single "Neon Metropolis" now available! This track will also appear on our second full-length coming on october 2nd via 20 Buck Spin. Preorder now !

"Neon Metropolis describes a flaneur meandering through a fully automated megacity. The song’s moody chorus and urgent cadence together mimic the feel of a cold and restless environment unfit for human life. This city qua cybernetic hive it is without community; without history; without finality. Those who adapt see themselves reduced to mere utility, while the rest are condemned to haunt the shadows of the system’s forgotten crevices. We hope you enjoy one of the catchier songs the band has put together."
