On September 20, 2026, our Section installed its 2026-2028 Executive Officers. It was a day filled with excitement, gratitude, and hope as we look to grow and expand our impact in the community.

Introducing the 2026-2028 Executive Committee

President: Verna Brown
First Vice President: Bettsie Boyd
Second Vice President: Nicole Wade-Jones
Recording Secretary (elect): Dr. Anngienetta Johnson
Corresponding Secretary: Allison Bowden
Treasurer: Charlene Eberhardt
Financial Secretary: Teressa Courtney

The areas of focus for our new leadership will be:

1. Building a Dynamic Future Together

Our future will be shaped by what we choose to accomplish together. I envision a Reston-Dulles Section that is highly engaged, visible, collaborative, and deeply welcoming—a space where every member feels valued, empowered, and inspired to lead. Together, we will focus on:

2. Leadership Development: Cultivating programs and opportunities for members to grow and lead.

3. Community Impact: Expanding intentional, high-impact service initiatives and strategic local partnerships.

4. Intergenerational and Membership Engagement: Fostering strong connections across generations and expanding our sisterhood.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our Immediate Past President, Cypriana McCray, for her steadfast leadership, wisdom, and inspiring grace. She has passionately poured years of dedicated service into our Section, leaving an indelible mark on our organization. We are profoundly grateful for her leadership and ongoing commitment to our sisterhood.

We thank our Section and sisters from the New Dominion Section for supporting our new leaders and for the sisterly fellowship thereafter.

Congratulations to our 2026-2028 Executive Committee as they embark on a new journey together💜

The National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) Suffolk (VA) Section announces an important virtual community forum, “What’s Going On? What Does It All Mean?”, taking place Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. EST via Zoom. Members of the Reston-Dulles Section had a fabulous day at the FBCV Juneteenth Parade and Festival. We celebrated freedom with an inspirational message from our Grand Marshall Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, choral performances, a fashion show, and a special visit from Senator Mark Warner. The Sisters made new connections and shared moments with old friends.

Members of the Reston-Dulles Section attended Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Chair- at Large Phyllis Randall's State of the County Address. It was a beautiful evening that shaped and framed the County historically and also recognized the progress that has been made in education, housing, and technology within the community.

We are proud to support Chair Randall and the leadership she has shown since taking office in 2015. #ncnwstrong💜 #womeninspiringwomen #womenleadersrock #loudouncounty #northernvirginia taken in Leesburg, Virginia by @ncnwrestondulles
