We were thrilled to host the 5th U.S. Low Temperature Plasma Summer School this past June, bringing together 100+ researchers and scholars from all over the world for a week of fascinating lectures, hands-on workshops and a panel discussion with experts. 🤝

From semiconductors to biomedicine, low temperature plasma is shaping the future, and we're so happy to be part of it. Big thanks to our faculty and visiting experts who made it happen! 🐺 Large diverse group of people posing together outside a brick building on a sunny day. by @ncstatenuclear

Congratulations to Jason Hou on being named director of the Nuclear Reactor Program! 👏

Hou has acted as the program’s interim director since Aug. 1, 2025. In this permanent role, he will continue to oversee reactor operations and guide the development of a long-term science and engineering vision for the program.

🗯️ “At a time when nuclear energy is increasingly recognized as an essential component of a clean and reliable energy future, I believe the Nuclear Reactor Program is uniquely positioned to drive innovation, develop talent and serve as a premier destination for nuclear science, engineering and workforce development for years to come,” Hou said.
