The National Center for Victims of Internet and Cyber Exploitation is a clearinghouse for internet crimes
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
The Department of Justice has announced the seizure of two domains associated with NudeLeaksTeens (NLT), which sold non-consensual intimate imagery, including child sexual abuse material.

More than 25,000 items hashed and verified by NCVIC to meet the federal criteria for NCII have been taken offline as a result of this action.

NCVIC is especially grateful to FBI Washington Field Office, Arlington County Police Department, and the US Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Virginia for their sustained effort in pursuing justice for the victims we serve. We support continued enforcement against criminal sites that exploit American women and children, and victims around the world.

Online abuse does not stay online.

It affects mental health, relationships, livelihoods, identity, and the basic ability to feel safe.

I’m honored to join the Board of Directors of @ncvicdotorg.

The work in mental health advocacy has reinforced something I believe deeply:

The abuse we tolerate online today becomes normalized for the next generation.

That makes this work bigger than any single platform, policy, or incident.

It is about the standards we set now.

Survivors deserve meaningful support. Abusers need accountability. And the next generation deserves a digital environment that does not ask them to accept harm as normal.

Thank you @justinejli for your leadership and for welcoming me to the board.

I’m proud to be part of this work. by @ncvicdotorg

We are thrilled to announce that Zak Williams is joining the Board of Directors of the National Center for Victims of Internet and Cyber Exploitation (NCVIC).

Zak is the CEO and co-founder of @youcanpym, a neurotransmitter health company, and a leading voice in the mental health advocacy space. Following the death of his father, Robin Williams, Zak channeled personal grief into public purpose — speaking openly about his own journey through anxiety and depression and working to dismantle the stigma around mental health. He has served as Chairman of Bring Change to Mind, as a US trustee for United for Global Mental Health, and as an advisor to organizations including Project Healthy Minds and Inseparable.

That work has particular significance for our mission. For victims of online exploitation, the harm can reach into every part of life, affecting relationships, livelihoods, as well as their physical safety. At NCVIC, Zak will bring his experience in advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and entrepreneurship to our work protecting victims and building stronger systems of accountability for online abuse. We’re grateful to have his perspective and commitment as we help survivors reclaim control over their lives. by @ncvicdotorg

NCVIC is partnering with Telegram to combat nonconsensual explicit imagery (NCEI). Work is underway to integrate our verified hash lists into Telegram’s moderation systems. Soon, victims submitting through NCVIC will receive critical protections across Telegram channels and group conversations where the potential for harm to proliferate is greatest.

As a Telegram Trusted Flagger, NCVIC also has a direct escalation pathway to moderation teams for expedited review of urgent blackmail and extortion cases.

Approximately 10% of cases reported to NCVIC involve blackmail or extortion threats through messaging apps. Building on this partnership, we will work closely with Telegram to develop and implement a response protocol designed to intervene before threats become distribution, disrupt perpetrators’ ability to coerce victims, and prevent further circulation of abusive content.

Telegram’s willingness to work directly with our organization creates an important opportunity to intervene earlier, prevent the spread of abusive imagery, and respond swiftly when someone is threatened. We welcome their commitment to developing these protections with us. by @ncvicdotorg

We’re delighted to welcome Princess Tatiana Galitzine (@tikiflops) to the Board of Directors of the National Center for Victims of Internet and Cyber Exploitation (NCVIC).

Tatiana has spent years advocating for children and vulnerable communities, with a particular focus on child protection, human trafficking, and humanitarian causes. Since 2017, she has served on the board of UNICEF Southwest, supporting UNICEF’s work to protect children from violence, exploitation, trafficking, and abuse. She was also an early member and active board member of The Houston 20, an organization dedicated to combating human trafficking, and has served on the advisory board of Kids’ Meals, which works to address childhood hunger.

She holds master’s degrees in architecture and engineering from the Technical University of Munich. Her professional career has included architecture and design with Gensler and Andrew Skurman Architects and competitive racing in the Ferrari Challenge UAE. In 2022, Tatiana was recognized as a Top 20 Inspiring Woman Impact Maker for her philanthropic leadership and community service.

At NCVIC, Tatiana will bring her experience across child protection, anti-trafficking initiatives, nonprofit leadership, and international humanitarian work to our mission of protecting victims of online exploitation and building stronger systems of accountability for crimes committed on the internet.

We are incredibly fortunate to have her join us, and excited for the work ahead. by @ncvicdotorg

The FBI and NCAA have announced a new national initiative to protect student-athletes from online sexual exploitation, sextortion, and other cyber-enabled crimes.

College athletes can be uniquely vulnerable to these forms of exploitation. Their public visibility and significant online presence can make them targets for account compromise, theft and distribution of private images, impersonation, extortion, and harassment.

The new collaboration will use the NCAA’s relationships with member schools to support FBI outreach, educate student-athletes about these threats, and connect victims with critical resources. NCVIC will serve as a resource for victims seeking the removal of images from the public internet.

NCVIC Joins the StopNCII NGO Alliance

The National Center for Victims of Internet and Cyber Exploitation (NCVIC) is honored to join the StopNCII NGO Alliance, a global network of nonprofit organizations working to combat nonconsensual explicit image abuse.

StopNCII and the Revenge Porn Helpline have been pioneers in building practical, victim-centered infrastructure to prevent the distribution of explicit images without consent. By working together, we can reduce the burden placed on victims, strengthen the systems available to protect them, and build a more coordinated global response to image-based abuse.

We are deeply grateful to Sophie Mortimer, David Wright CBE, SWGfL, the Revenge Porn Helpline, and the broader StopNCII community for welcoming NCVIC into the alliance.

Through this upcoming integration, victims depicted as adults submitting through NCVIC will automatically gain important protections across partnered platforms. by @ncvicdotorg

Ugly problems need beautiful solutions. Every day, we help victims navigate some of the worst moments of their lives. Good design cannot undo what happened but it can reduce the cognitive burden of asking for help.

Well that’s what we told ourselves anyway, while spending an absolutely ludicrous amount of time (and tokens) pushing pixels this weekend to bring you this redesign: https://ncvic.org/ by @ncvicdotorg

Our founder @justinejli be speaking at #TrustCon this year about what it took to architect this nation’s first free and secure NCII clearinghouse serving victims of all ages. Like all great American infrastructure projects, it was built with Big FAFO Energy by a small team of grumpy insomniacs who were told it couldn’t be done. Well, we’ve concluded the you-know-what-ed around portion of our project and will be presenting what we found out at TrustCon.

The National Center for Victims of Internet and Cyber Exploitation (NCVIC) has been processing victim referrals from local and federal law enforcement partners across the country. We maintain both human-reviewed and law-enforcement-verified NCII hashlists, along with dynamic URL lists that update as content status changes. Our hashlists are 100% free for vetted partners and will remain 100% free, forever. If you’re a platform we’ve prioritized based on victim needs: integration and technical support are free too. (Sorry @yaboylinus)

At TrustCon, we be giving an overview of our verification standards, recommended interventions, and design principles for balancing internet freedoms and victim safety. Come to our session if you find the idea of browser-level interventions unnerving. This is your chance to convince us it’s a bad idea before we FAFO about that too!

I have given my engineers permission to use my likeness in whatever manner they see fit so long as “my eyelashes look good.” I am delighted to report that they understood the assignment.

Please enjoy this educational video from engineering about enforcement infrastructure and the takedown notice industrial complex. 🫠

NCVIC has been on the frontlines with law enforcement in the fight against NCII, child exploitation and trafficking-derived content. Online crime is a national security vulnerability. These harms disrupt communities, tear at the fabric of civic life, erode trust in our institutions, and exact a toll on every layer of American society.

The federal enforcement deadline for TIDA takes effect tomorrow. NCVIC, in partnership with Prune, has launched the Sunset Portal: a free and secure intake system for survivors. Over the past year, NCVIC has been in dialogue with the Federal Trade Commission, sharing technical and operational observations. Our Portal has been live since January under limited release, accepting referrals from FBI field offices. Today, it opens to the public: https://sunset.ncvic.org/

Through the Sunset Portal, survivors and their families receive the following benefits (each can be independently opted into or revoked at any time):
- Federally compliant verification and hashing
- Search and monitoring
- Evidence preservation for victims 18+
- Compliance auditing against the 48-hour statutory removal window
- Escalation of covered violations to the FTC

Our enduring commitment is that this service will remain 100% free to survivors and that we will not stop fighting until every verified image is removed from the internet (ideally before our children inherit it).

This work could not be done without the incredible partners in law enforcement that we have made along the way and the generosity of donors who fund our efforts. If you feel inspired by what we do, you may read more about our mission and contribute here: https://ncvic.org/support taken in Washington, D.C. by @ncvicdotorg
