Online abuse does not stay online. It affects mental health, relationships, livelihoods, identity, and the basic ability to feel safe. I’m honored to join the Board of Directors of @ncvicdotorg. The work in mental health advocacy has reinforced something I believe deeply: The abuse we tolerate online today becomes normalized for the next generation. That makes this work bigger than any single platform, policy, or incident. It is about the standards we set now. Survivors deserve meaningful support. Abusers need accountability. And the next generation deserves a digital environment that does not ask them to accept harm as normal. Thank you @justinejli for your leadership and for welcoming me to the board. I’m proud to be part of this work.

I have given my engineers permission to use my likeness in whatever manner they see fit so long as “my eyelashes look good.” I am delighted to report that they understood the assignment. Please enjoy this educational video from engineering about enforcement infrastructure and the takedown notice industrial complex. 🫠 #tida #takeitdown #traffickingawareness #ncii

One year ago today, the Take It Down Act was signed into law! Anna, Elliston, Samantha, Melissa and SO MANY (not pictured) incredible advocates and survivors inspired and helped pass the first federal law criminalizing the publication of nonconsensual intimate images - both ‚real‘ and ‚fake.“  The Take It Down Act! Happy National Take It Down Act Day! They channeled their pain into creating a path to justice, requiring covered tech platforms to establish clear guidelines for reporting intimate image abuse and remove the abusive images within 48 hours or face heavy fines.  Today, tech companies must now comply. We have much more to do but we are here to stay.  Survivors are forever and the nonconsensual intimate images that abusers create and publish online are not... progress! Love to my incredible community of survivors, advocates and allies.  Need help? NCVIC.org
