It’s been a week since I completed my fellowship with @publicceramics at @clayspace_bk. I am grateful for the beautiful people I met, the abundance of inspiration and the new skills I learned. This nodal piece was inspired by the north and south nodes in astrology. The nodes are a dance between where we come from and where we are going- an interconnection between past, present and future. A cycle completed just in time for the full moon. by @nebulous.node

Early morning carving.This is my favorite part- cleaning up the piece. A reunion with ceramics after a year long hiatus. Happy to be back. Surprised by the ability of the body to remember and quickly understand the nurturing clay requires to morph and shape. Feeling like I’ve somehow improved. Win said in the rest I was probably visualizing the creation process. Maybe that’s true. Either way, I’m back and bursting with ideas. Trying to challenge myself to be ok with being seen, showing how the sausage is made. This is my attempt. Should I glaze this big boi? by @nebulous.node

It’s been a year since the Cecilia altar arrived at Sunset Garden. Im still so so grateful to have co-created it with @_ikokomi, @_elycia_wanders_, @dumbodots’ @winteriorss to honor the life Cecilia Gentili. Altar work, is a doorway; sacred spaces that let us individually and collectively speak to God, to our ancestors, to the ones who have left this earthly plane. Cecilia’s life was an altar of service and love to the trans and sex worker community. It was truly beautiful to witness Cecilia’s loved ones gather around to honor her lifeI visited the garden recently and welled up seeing the altar and many mini altars now heavy with offerings and filled with the energy from those who have visited. Even beyond the grave, Cecilia’s legacy continues to move fiercely. It reminds me that every trans person who has left this world is still here and carried forward by the ones who love them. by @nebulous.node

In my home, we call this candelabra “unicorn vom.” My art practice is an experiment guided by intuition. I wondered about a candelabra merging vessel, tea light, and rock container. I used different glazes, and techniques for the first time. What materialized embodies something childlike. Tapping into my intuition has helped me subdue societal ideas of “good and bad art.” I remind myself that art is the expression of the divine residing in us all. Each holds the right to create and unveil their art, if they wish. by @nebulous.node
