Our North East CDC NExus interns recently stepped into Mastercard's Innovation Circuit for an eye-opening look at the future of payments and transactions! From AI agents enhancing the purchasing experience to tech making transactions more secure, it was a glimpse into what's ahead. 💳🤖✨

It was also a great example of the learning opportunities available through the North East CDC NExus Internship Programme. Learning journeys like this one equip students with fresh, innovative ideas that they bring back to their community building work through micro-job tasters — exploring different sectors and discovering new possibilities along the way.

What a meaningful learning journey! 🌟

We thought we were filming just another artwork reveal, but this happened… when Genine finally pulled the cloth off, it made her artwork even more special. 💛

She's a Shaping Hearts Artist living with Global Developmental Delay, which can make everyday tasks a lot harder than they look. But when it comes to art, she has a unique way of painting: she paints with her hands and feet, her whole body on the canvas; and it's her way of expressing herself when words don't come easy. 🎨

This is her art. If you want to support her, you can buy it at 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽.𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀.𝗰𝗱𝗰.𝗴𝗼𝘃.𝘀𝗴. by @necdc

Nothing like a good film to bring the community together. 🎬🧡

North East residents gathered for a special screening of The Violinist, spending quality time with family and neighbours while showing their support for Singapore’s creative talents.

The experience went beyond the film itself, with a meet-and-greet with Director Ervin Han and Executive Producer Leonard Lai, plus a live performance by young violinist Anastasha Suchin, who performed the score for the film’s young lead character. 🎻✨

Here’s to more Singapore stories shining on the big screen! 🇸🇬

At 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 @ 𝗖𝗗𝗖 (𝗟𝗔𝗪@𝗖𝗗𝗖) 2026, residents can better understand everyday legal matters through free talks, workshops and community legal clinics — making legal knowledge and support more accessible to everyone. ⚖️

This year, tertiary students also stepped up through the Access to Justice Community Co-Lab, working with legal professionals and community partners to develop practical solutions for real needs faced by residents.

Together with the Ministry of Law, Pro Bono SG (@probonosg), Institutes of Higher Learning, legal professionals, volunteers and students, we’re empowering residents to better understand their options, know where to turn for help, and take informed action when it matters. 💯
