Which one do you think I chose? 🤔

These are a combination of painted and printed canvases with DMC floss and scissors included priced from $25-$50 per kit. All are suitable for a beginner. It’s a start…😊

This rescued needlepoint is personal.
Our son’s home was struck by lightning this week, burned and will have to be gutted. We are so thankful he wasn’t home and this disaster wasn’t a tragedy.

This was my first @ebneedlepoint canvas. I stitched it for him when he graduated from Campbell University. Their mascot is a camel. Hobby Lobby’s custom framing practically sealed the canvas and it is unharmed from the smoke and water that was in that part of the house. It only has a faint odor. It is one of the few items that we will be able to save.

Life can change in a second but we believe that beautiful things can come from ashes and have focused on the awful things that could have, but didn’t, happen. We have prayed continual prayers of thanks and are looking forward. God is good. by @needlepointforall

I’m still enjoying this merino super wash wool for my big summer stitch. It’s has a nice durable coverage on my 13 count canvas PLUS it appears that it could also be a strandable option for smaller counts! I’m looking forward to that experiment.

Swipe for label information. $8-10 per large skein of 130 yards makes it a very affordable stitch option for large projects. Available through yarn retailers.

I am not an expert needlepoint instructor by any means but I had so much fun hosting friends for a Valentine Tea and introducing them to needlepoint. Thanks to @stitchesbyabigail for surprising me with a trip to New Bern to join us. She was a huge help! Maybe some new stitchers were born today! 🤞🏻🪡

No canvas shortage at my house! This thrifted $3 interlock canvas haul has been waiting for a great opportunity like this. It will be put to work later this month when I teach 10 friends to needlepoint. Pieces have been cut so next comes the ironing, painting and taping. It’s fun to share your passion!

NEW PRODUCT ALERT!! Last week I did get to travel for needlework to the wonderful @stitchinokc retreat. My cool door prize was this hot-off-the press new acrylic self finishing ornament from @stitchsocietyokc. I just happened to have the perfect canvas already stitched and the process was quick and easy. Swipe to see the simple pieces.

Thanks to @stitchsocietyokc for contributing to the retreat and for the opportunity to be one of the first to try out a great new finishing idea!

So many in our little needlepoint world have been leaders in making stitching more accessible and @needlepointforall.

@nashvilleneedlepointer has done so much to educate us to be more independent stitchers by offering her in-person classes and online instruction and tips. I love to share her well done tutorials here to keep our passion more affordable and make us better stitchers. After watching her from afar for five years, I was thrilled to meet her in person this weekend at @ritasneedlepoint while she is there for 4 classes. Thank you, Lita!

There are soooooo many used stitch books out there. Don’t forget that the cross stitch is a needlepoint stitch! My thrifted $2 book full of letter charts will come in handy someday 😁.

There are sooooo many ways to make needlepoint an affordable hobby. Don’t compare yourself to others or let FOMO turn this hobby into a money pit. You can only stitch one canvas at a time! Curb your impulses and make good choices with your stitch dollars.

Have you ever been into a Flying Tiger Copenhagen? I was excited to find one in Trondheim. If you’re ever passing by you should check it out. #1 it’s the most fun store and #2 I found this coloring book and I think the designs can easily be adapted to ndlpt. I’m eyeing the pumpkin. Swipe through to see the charting and floral designs.
