White Tower in Central Sq.
Commissioned by @centralsqbid

My friend Alister @handsforfeet was visiting us to learn and experience Need Sign Will Paint jam, and he totally went for it! Here are some pics.

The gig was awesome. Painting with Ali was fun👌
A few old townies passed by while we were on the ladders, and told us some funny stories about the building. We also met a guy who worked for the White Tower decades ago… it was cool to learn some histories about this little iconic building.!

One of my favorite things about being on the street painting signs is that I get to run into strangers and have opportunities to interact with them which otherwise would never happen if I wasn’t doing this at all.
This gig was a good reminder of how lucky I am to have this job.🙏

Thanks Michael from @centralsqbid for trusting us!
And thanks @handsforfeet @handsforfeetsigns for the good work!👊 taken in Central Square, Cambridge by @needsignswillpaint

Hand painted signage for @rococofloralco in Somerville, with their new branding.
Designs were provided by the client.

It was satisfying to paint all the windows and now the storefront looks stunning with the hand painted work.

Special thanks to @letter_boy for the help!
And also @handsforfeetsigns for helping us with preparing the sign patterns!

Many thanks to @rococofloralco for the opportunity!

Caught a beautiful day to finish this sign.
Thanks Jen and Damion for the hospitality🙏❤️

The store is beautiful already before putting up the sign, and carries tasteful items. Hope many of you experience the shop! taken in Amesbury, Massachusetts by @needsignswillpaint

Custom painted and gilded house sign.

The owners of the house initially hired a contractor to paint and gild the sign(the 2nd image) but it was pretty rough, so they reached out to me and here is what i ended up doing. I created the figures with a flat brush.
The last image is the original design I used for the sign. by @needsignswillpaint

New gold leaf sign for the new South End location of @brick.street.bagels
Like the one we did for their South Boston store, we created custom lettering for the South End one.
All were drawn from scratch, with no AI or digital typeface involved.
And this time, we asked our friend and accomplished type designer, Dyana @kernsandcairns, for her opinions and advice to further improve the work.
We couldn't be happier with the result and are very thankful for Dyana's generous and kind help.

And thanks to Jordan at @brick.street.bagels for the trust and for bringing us back to the new store.

We take a unique approach to each opportunity, but our mission is consistent. It's about higher quality and better service: building a stronger relationship with our client and revitalizing the neighborhood with hand-painted signs and murals. Honestly, to achieve all of this, every project has to be a unique case. taken in Tremont Street South End by @needsignswillpaint

Had a pleasure working on the sign for @tsurumen1000
The owner, Masuo Onishi @pj_masuo, had a vision for the new sign, and I had a good time helping him with designing and realizing his vision.

As I am a small business owner too, I understand that hand-painted signs are not always the cheapest or most practical option.

However, one of the benefits of getting a hand-painted sign by a local craftsperson or an artist you are friends with as a trade to support each other means more than just getting a sign up.
The hand painted signs are for the people, made by the people. Just like anything else around in nature, the slower process could bring things and people together.
