LIVE REVIEW + PHOTOS: Don Broco at HERE at Outernet, London 12/10/26. There is something inherently sacred about a mid-sized venue sweating at capacity. Forget the distant blare of arena tours for a second, London got up close and personal, and profoundly bruised on a Monday night at Here at Outernet, courtesy of a triple-threat lineup. If you weren’t in the room, consider this your official FOMO warning, as Don Broco brought the moves, the grooves and the sweat to the London stop of their Nightmare Tripping tour. Thank you @satellite414 for arranging! LIVE REVIEW + PHOTOS: Beartooth at the O2 Academy Brixton, London 03/10/26. “You’ve probably heard way too much about my private life over the past few months”, Caleb Shomo, the magnetic frontman of the Ohio Electro-punkcore aficionados Beartooth, acknowledged to an excitable Brixton Academy. Indeed, 2026 has been quite a sensational year in multiple ways for the band, with not only a new album, but a media frenzy around Shomo coming out as - in his own words - a proudly gay man. Shomo’s fearless embracing of his new public persona, running alongside a more optimistic and headstrong version of Beartooth has culminated in a standout album that was ready to be celebrated in London. Since Beartooth’s inception in 2012, the tone of Caleb Shomo’s songwriting has metamorphosed over the album cycles. From the roots of Shomo’s Attack, Attack! post hardcore era, through the raw pain, aggression, healing and optimism embedded in his deeply personal songwriting. The culmination of that journey so far - Pure Ecstasy, the newly born album is front and centre of the night of celebration at Brixton Academy. LIVE REVIEW + PHOTOS: Trash Boat at KOKO, London 02/10/26. There may be nothing more feral than a Trash Boat fan that has been starved of the live experience of the St Albans quartet for a number of months. Camden’s iconic KOKO probably wasn’t fully prepared for the cathartic carnage about to be released for the special tenth anniversary show. LIVE REVIEW + PHOTOS: Dance Gavin Dance at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, London 12/09/26. London has become the terminus for many international band’s EU/UK tours, and Dance Gavin Dance continued the trend, pulling into the capital with riffs, dance moves and a legendary 20 years of material in their back pockets. LIVE REVIEW + PHOTOS: Hyphen at the Scala, London 07/05/26 On the 7th of May, London’s Scala played host to a hopeful high-voltage political rally filled with moshpits, and good vibes. This was the night Hyphen proved the doubters wrong by selling out the iconic Kings Cross venue, but the journey to that historic finale of his REBEL SCUM TOUR was paved with a super strong line-up of artists who had travelled from all corners of the country - and the globe in the case of MUDRAT. From the unapologetic “top vs bottom” rhetoric of MUDRAT to the joy of Gen and the Degenerates and the hybrid one-of-a-kind sound of Native James, this was a manifesto set to a high standard. @thisishyphen at the Scala, London full review up on the website, link in bio. 🔗 Words: @vlad.ghilas @platform.96 Photos: @negomiphotography #hyphen #scala #gigphotography #concertphotography by @negomiphotography
LIVE REVIEW + PHOTOS: Archers at Downstairs at The Dome, London 16/04/26 Tufnell Park’s Downstairs at The Dome was packed and loud as Wisconsin-bred Archers touched down in London. With great support from Tropic Gold, it was a night of heavy music, huge choruses, and a lot of sweat. LIVE REVIEW + PHOTOS: grandson at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, London 02/03/26. On the 2nd of March 2026, the O2 Forum Kentish Town ceased to be a mere music venue and transformed into a sweaty, sanctuary-like bastion for every soul exhausted of being optimistic and in a state of inertia. The demographic was a beautiful sea of diverse faces spanning every age, background, and identity, yet all vibrating with the exact same progressive heartbeat. We were an audience no longer content with being passive observers of our own decline. We were there to find a much-needed shift in a society that feels increasingly rigged, sharing a bone-deep ethos with the artists on the bill. Both Pinkshift and Grandson held a jagged, uncompromising mirror up to a broken system and, for one explosive night, gave over 2000 people permission to feel their own rage and energy. In a world that relentlessly attempts to strip us of our individuality - or punishes us the moment we dare to show it - this was a night where being yourself was the ultimate act of rebellion. grandson at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, London full review up on the website, link in bio. 🔗 Words: @vlad.ghilas @platform.96 Photos: @negomiphotography #grandson #o2forumkentishtown by @negomiphotography
