When we started this project 2021 we had a plan and life said it didn’t need a shot list. I feel like I’ve lived a thousand lives since the first day we hit record, so much has happened and I’ve lost so much but I’m still here. I am not a victim I am a survivor. I’m proud to announce that I’m finally getting to fill the world in on everything’s that’s happened at @indiememphis this year! Nov 7th at 3:45 at the Malco Powerhouse theater in downtown Memphis. Come celebrate with us as we showcase what it looks like to never give up. I’m forever thankful for my team and everyone who has encouraged me along the way. I’ve learned that graveyard and a garden looks the same to a naked eye. We are planted, not buried! 🌱 @outsideaintfree Director: 👽 Producer: @neiaghat Cinematographers @1dot_ @singletracklens Photography: @joesills Writer: @blkelkdan Editor: @deepstatedave Music curation: @idixteco @idisenpai @realtayythepro @jussflo taken in South Memphis Trap House by @neiaghat

Life is moving FAST. Let’s take some time to slow down and look at some highlights from this year so far. Here’s some fun BTS captured along the way in no particular order. We did a creative campaign for our friends at @heirloom1907. We wrapped the feature film @whoisleonardheck. We hosted a @wave.nwa at the @themomentary. We brought @jaunt.film to @mountainfilm. We turned our studio into an automotive art show with @expressrally, @944_safari, and @oneup_motogarage. We produced a music video for the @thedarkskinnedghost. We have more BLK ELK originals in the works and we’re looking forward to collaborating with more clients to round out the year with a bang. Thanks for watching. - The BLK ELK Crew. taken in BLK ELK by @neiaghat

Our POV of @mountainfilm. From the moment we set foot in Telluride it’s always an incredible time. The friends we’ve made here over the years and the experiences we’ve had are truly ones we will remember forever. It’s been a wild ride with @jaunt.film. More news to come. Shoutout to @caplephoto for resurrecting the old handicam from his parents attic. 🎥 taken in Telluride, Colorado by @neiaghat

Carousel of photos from 2023 — Bridge Crossing Jubilee, 58th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday. Grateful to have been invited to the Jubilee and to stand on Edmund Perry’s Bridge and document some moments that continue to shape our history. Rev. Jesse Jackson, thank you for the work you did not long ago. Grateful to witness this in my life time and hear the library of stories carried by our elders. Because when an elder becomes an ancestor, a library dies too. Talk to your elders. Ask questions, write down their history, laugh with them. Be in community with them. Love them while they are still here. Okay, brb - going to FaceTime my granny and tell her how beautiful she is and how much I love her… and see if she wants to get her nails done and grab dinner. 🩷 Last photo is not mine, stand off with Police, taken March 7, 1965 by @neiaghat
