You’re looking at months of passion, told through the language of flowers. 🌺

The Flower Parade in Vollenhove is a tradition running for over a century, powered entirely by locals. From welders and designers to the kids picking blooms in the local fields, the entire town unites for this moment.

The dahlia is the true star here. Because fresh flowers wilt, millions of blossoms must be pinned by hand in a frantic 48-hour race against the clock right before showtime. The result? Colossal sculptures that look like they’re alive, breathing, and telling stories as they roll through narrow cobblestone streets.

It’s fleeting, it’s monumental, and it’s pure Dutch heritage. 💫

💥Towering giants of petals💥 🌸
💫
Every year, the town of Vollenhove brings storytelling to life with giant, moving sculptures covered entirely in fresh dahlias.

What began over a century ago as a royal celebration is now one of the Netherlands' most breathtaking floral traditions—built by months of craftsmanship and sleepless nights pinning thousands of blooms just hours before the parade.

It’s fleeting, it’s monumental, and it’s pure Dutch heritage. Built with steel, brought to life with petals ✨️
