:
Dear #catibbeanpeople I urge you to not come for me🤣🤣 I simply do not wish to hear it. If you can eat ackee with dumpling, you can have ackee on a slice of pizza. Fullstop! 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️

:
2 cups almond flour 1 cup soft wheat flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp baking powder plus 1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp good quality olive oil (pure unmixed olives)
1 cup plant milk with 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (let sit and curdle for 5 mins)
Mix dried ingredients together, add curdled milk a little at a time and mix. Be sure not to add more milk than needed. Let the dough rest for 15 mins our more as you prepare your topping of choice
I always season tomato sauce
Sauté onions, garlic, cilantro, add capers, add plant milk and a little maple syrup and mix. Add a little water and more milk if it’s too thick
Pre-bake crust (after poking holes into the dough in the pan) for 10 minutes, distribute tomato sauce evenly. Not too much. I saved the rest of the sauce sauce to top a pizza in another video. Add peppers, onion then ackee. Sprinkle with a little garlic powder
Pop in the oven and bake for 20 minutes on 350°

Curry Coconut Breadfruit
In #grenadiancuisine 🇬🇩breadfeuit is used in the national dish called #oildown 🇬🇩
:
I peeled the breadfruit whole, then sliced into thin oblong slices. I then seasoned it with curry, tumeric, berebere powder, blackpepper, and garam masala.
I used dehydrated coconut milk powder and water to dilut, then simmered the breadfruit slices till cooked! Full of flavours!
:
The breadfruit tree is of the mulberry family and related to jackfruit. Its large fruits are a staple of the Caribbean, South Pacific and other tropical areas like #guinea Breadfruit is seldom eaten raw. It may be roasted, baked, boiled, fried, or dried and ground into flour. In the South Seas, cloth is made from the fibrous inner bark, the wood is used for canoes and furniture, and glue and caulking material are obtained from the milky juice.

Quick and easy Turkish flatbread
3 cups Soft wheat flour (easier to digest)
1/2 tsp salt (adjust to your preference)
2/3 cup warm water
2/3 cup warm milk
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp dry yeast
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Mix lukewarm water, milk and sugar with dry yeast and cover for 10 minutes
Add sift flour to the mix into a sticky paste, bring to a ball
Dust lightly with a little flour to avoid sticking add some olive oil at the top and cover tightly for one hour. The dough will expand.
Once expanded, cut it in half and then into six pieces. Roll it into 6 round balls, and flatten with a rolling pin into 6 inch discs. Place on an already heated iron pan on medium heat. Cook for 30 seconds as the bubbles appear. Flip to the other side and cook for another 30 seconds. Heat up a little plantbase butter and add some chopped cilantro or parsley to garnish. I prefer cilantro

The making of the mouth watering #ackeeandpeppers🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Ackee always reminds me of the #braingyri
Ackee is a fruit, not sweet, rather savory. And while it may be foreign to many people, it’s widely used in countries like Jamaica, and now being widely used across the Caribbean islands @joachimjammeal. It’s traditionally made with dried codfish. Years ago, while I was in London, I hopped to the bus and decided just to go to Brixton, because I hadn’t been to Brixton in a while. I was very shocked as to how much Brixton changed. But I really liked what I saw as well. I went to eat at a Caribbean vegan restaurant called Eat of Eden where I discovered Ackee and peppers. I couldn’t stop making it after that @eatofeden Sad to say that I wanted to take my sister and nieces there next month when we go to London. However, I learned that it’s temporary closed☹️
4 cups ackee
2 bell peppers
1 scotch bonnet, pepper
1 large onion sliced
Blackpepper as you like
Salt to taste
sauté the onions till translucent, add peppers including scotch bonnet, and sauté till tender
Add ackee and gently mix it all in by getting under the ackee, slowly flipping it over. You do not want it to break up into tiny little pieces
