Haven’t used social media for most of this year (and honestly, haven’t missed it), but this I want to shout from the rooftops.

We shot my short film, “Nice Girl”, this weekend - my first time making my written work - and it was better than anything I could’ve dreamt up. And I dreamt up a lot. I had the BEST possible director, costar, and crew imaginable.

@nellteare your artistry and deliberate, inspired direction allowed me to play and explore so completely. Your instincts are spot on. What a luxury it is to be in your hands.
@samdaly where do I begin. You blew me away with your ever-presentness, endless ideas, and effortless charm… You’re so easy to react to; I was just along for the ride.
@cowboycameraman if only the real world could be as beautiful as the ones you create on camera. You’re an exceptional talent with a gypsy soul and it was an honor to be in front of your lens.

What an unbelievably fulfilling weekend - the post show blues are stronger than ever.

What a week.

Our very first Making the Short: From Script to Screen Summer Camp brought together an incredible group of young storytellers who spent the week learning every step of the filmmaking process—from developing an idea to bringing it to life on screen.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing camp director, Nell Teare, and our talented mentors for sharing your time, knowledge, and passion with the next generation of filmmakers. Your guidance made this experience truly unforgettable.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Red Antler, Zapp Hall, Royers and @roundtopbrewing for opening your doors and helping make this inaugural camp possible.

This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what these young filmmakers create next.
