Drawer of Lines - Teacher of Pictures - Collector of Comics - Father of Two

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s been a busy start to another school year, and as buried in my work as I’ve been these past couple of months I’ve fortunately found my way into the studio from time to time. Hence the lack of posts (which is probably a good thing).

I’ve been going through a bad bout of saudades from my time in Portugal this past summer. Especially, my time in Lisboa. The trip was meant to cure my saudades of Lisboa but it ended up making it worse.

The city has changed since my last visit 25 years ago. However, the spirit and history remain. The songs that echo through the streets late at night still hold my soul. They call me back.

Prior to my trip, I had planned and written a story about Lisboa. Her people, its history, and the creatures that lurk in the shadows of cobblestone streets.

Here’s a taste.

Sometimes I’m a little bit country…

The summer is not quite over. I still have some more rocking to do. @zachtop and @chrisstapleton were amazing tonight.

Too bad getting in and out of the stadium was such a chore…first and last time for me (old man shakes fist at the clouds). taken in Rogers Stadium by @nelsoncaetano_

Back safe and sound from our family adventure to Portugal 🇵🇹 It was a time to relax, reflect, and connect with our roots (and a little research too). Had to share some family history and pride in this pic - if you know, you know. by @nelsoncaetano_

The comic book that doubles as a colouring book!

Hey kids, you have permission to draw and colour all over this comic book.

Follow Daryn as they solve big mysteries on the family farm. Then colour and draw to help make the book your very own.

I miss being a grease monkey.

Ran into some car trouble on the way home after work. Luckily pulled into the driveway just in time.

Nothing these greasy little fingers can’t fix. Ended up with a small burn for my efforts. She’ll be back on the road tomorrow.

I will have to skip tonight’s studio work though. Although it’ll be a good evening to catch up on some reading.
