Neuroqueer art raves and community workshops. Capitalist trauma < Connectivity through creative joy - for the sake of the planet 🌍 🫂🧠 @cutekiss10.2

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hardcore = Spiritual is a neuroqueer art rave exploring the somatic therapeutic effects of live and electronic hardcore sound. It is a depiction and celebration of the ways in which collective creativity and bodily stimulation is a healing force against capitalist and patriarchal trauma.

The Munster in Leicester Square, London will be transformed by participatory art and immersive set design to create a spiritual church, in which we will let sound and stimming exorcise out generational oppression. For one night, we will be a spiritual haven of joy like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.

Live visuals will be created by real time neural EEG mapping, creating a mirror exposing the very real positive impact of inclusive culture.

All profits from this event will go to @goodnightoutcampaign and @ukmenssheds. Promoted in partnership with Womxn of Punk.

Doors Open: 8pm. Bands: 9pm - 11pm
DJs: 11pm - 2am
Acts TBA

Biomechanimal blends electro-industrial, aggrotech, and EBM with heavy djent guitar riffs and cinematic synthesis. Their sound pairs aggressive vocals, stomping club rhythms, and dark electronic beats with modern metal, creating a high-energy fusion of industrial dance floor driving beats and intense metal distortion.

They will be playing at our next night Hardcore = Spiritual which we are doing in partnership with @nervous_systems_

They’re not made for perfection they’re made for love (and a good cuddle). Physical soothing with consent can be a great way to calm our nervous systems and achieve co regulation… so cuddle your mates and come to The Munster on the 21st November.

Harcore = Spiritual is an immersive art rave at The Munster on the 21st November. Tickets in bio <3

Conceptually, it is a direct response to the view that patriarchal capitalism is a trauma across the gender spectrum. Physically, it is a space designed to facilitate healing and we have carefully designed everything to ensure this is communicated to each of your senses.

You’ll come in through the bar to the top room which will have been transformed into a spiritual church of creativity through participatory art and community made set design. Art pieces made by members of the Men’s Shed Association will be an active part of the exhibition - telling personal stories of what creativity means to mental well being and reimagining creativity as a contemporary spiritual practice.

The music will be a captivating sonic journey working from live punk bands into happy hardcore DJ sets as a nod to the complexity of trauma recovery journeys. BPM will be fast and sounds loud to stimulate your body and enjoy the therapeutic effects of dancing.

The event is to be experienced at the pace of the audience, with art works allowing for individual and group engagement, all demonstrating the ways in which we can support each other through traumatic events. A hug, some patience, empathy and engaged listening will all be explored through the participatory arts pieces. Spaces to sit, observe and reflect will be available throughout the space.

We’ll also have @neurottica_ and @portal_.aura using EEG brain readings to create live visuals at the event to evidence in real time how important community and culture is to repairing humanity.

Never been more happy and more proud than to work on an event like this with @greenspace______ . To be able to tie together community power, neurodiversity, planetary love, art making, having a wicked boogie and political change was an absolute dream. Politics needs joy and it needs unity. Could well be one of the things that makes me smile on my death bead so thank you to everyone who helped make it come together 💖🤘🤝 taken in Sawmills by @nervous_systems_

STIM is a neuroqueer arts and production organisation based in London. We create events, exhibitions, installations and community experiences rooted in a single founding belief: cognitive diversity is planetary health.

Neurodivergent minds are not aberrations to be corrected - they are expressions of natural cognitive biodiversity. The same diversity that is essential to the health of living systems, including the planet itself.

We create spaces that bring people together through making, doing and shared experience across art, music, performance, craft and culture.

Everything we produce is designed to be participatory, sensorial, embodied experiences that draw on neurodivergent knowledge as a design principle. They are a chance for ALL of us to regulate together, and feel better.

Social interaction and community development are essential to the health of our communities and our world. The same systems that fragment communities are the same systems driving environmental breakdown. When people make things together, fix things together and play together, the manufactured distances between us begin to dissolve. Fragmentation gives way to wholeness.

This is what it means to make a party political. STIM x Green Space are out here to make a better world, and you are very much invited. Credit and love to @tethyslamy for the content 💖 taken in Bristol, United Kingdom by @nervous_systems_

This beautiful video was made by the amazing @tethyslamy

There is a lot of work that goes into Stim, lots of different hats and different challenges. But there is no more joy to be had than making art with people you love. We do that together and we do that with you. Thank you everyone for making our dreams a reality - you were always in them <3

Community is empathy and by being creative together we are resistant.

Big love all , we’re working out the next stim and will be in touch by @nervous_systems_
