Neuroqueer art raves and community workshops. Capitalist trauma < Connectivity through creative joy - for the sake of the planet 🌍 🫂🧠 @cutekiss10.2

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Neuroscientists @neurottica_ and @portal_.aura are exploring how brain activity can reshape live music. Using wearable EEG headsets, they measure ravers’ stress levels and feed that data into real-time visuals. Each visual is a test: an algorithm searches for the one that calms you most, then shows it at the end. Scale that up and you get environments that adapt to the people inside them, instead of people adapting to the environment. The crowd doesn’t just watch the rave, it becomes it. Your nervous system on the lightshow. Your body shaping the room.

It makes sense to us. Hardcore = Spiritual will be about what happens when heavy music and dance music meet: the scream and the surrender, the pit and the pulse. Release. Catharsis. Collective energy that moves through a room until it moves through you.

This is a night built around a journey towards healing. Start in the noise, find the rhythm, leave lighter than you arrived. Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to carry it alone.

Punk and hardcore. One room, one crowd, one big exhale.

Biomechanimal blends electro-industrial, aggrotech, and EBM with heavy djent guitar riffs and cinematic synthesis. Their sound pairs aggressive vocals, stomping club rhythms, and dark electronic beats with modern metal, creating a high-energy fusion of industrial dance floor driving beats and intense metal distortion.

They will be playing at our next night Hardcore = Spiritual which we are doing in partnership with @nervous_systems_

HEADLINER @engineer_newg @engineer_newg @engineer_newg

Engineer is a London based live electronic music producer and performer. Through use of a small modular synth system, every live set is totally improvised and unpredictable, with fast changes and chaotic variety moving from techno to electro to breakbeat.

Due to the improvised nature of his performances Engineer is free to create a soundscape that reflects the mood of the room. Though his preference is to create a gradual crescendo of sound as he ramps up the BPM, perfect for those who like to dance to music which is hard. fast and experimental.

Starting from the end of our chaos filled auditory love lineup we have Oxfordshire-based producer and DJ Dysfunction, who will be closing out your stimulation session with a special blend of 200bpm hardcore, breakcore, and tek.

Hot on the heels of their multi-genre Confusion EP, which gained support from legends of the scene like Rob Swire and John B and had plays on both Vision Radio and the Amen4Tekno SWU show, Dysfunction will be taking things up a notch with a whirlwind mix of funk, folk, ska, and hip-hop set against the backdrop of 200bpm flavours.

This is certainly not one to miss.

HEADLINER HEADLINER HEADLINER @eula.xo @eula.xo @eula.xo

Eula is a founder of GAYTORADE, retired bagpiping prodigy, and transexual anarchist river dyke. 💕💕

Eula’s doctrine? aggressive eclecticism. Her promise? You’ll hear something on the dancefloor you didn’t expect to make sense. She’ll keep your ass$ shufflin’ with progressive and breaks, and she can go real glitchy, experimental and a little scary sometimes, but she’s also not afraid to throw some dumb sh!t in the mix with a little leftfield or donk 😈

This varied sound has afforded her a broad range of gigs like Field Maneuvers, Leatherette, Camp Trans, Secret Valley Fest and BODY SWAP. She has also toured in Brazil playing Tres4, Mokado, Voga and Veneno Live and has made radio appearances on Voices, Pocket Radio, EHFM, Reprezent Radio, Function! FM (São Paulo) and Veneno Live (São Paulo).
Expect a wonky lil journey bbs. What mayhem will Eula bring today? Scottish grime? singeli? punk? new wave? a big weepy guitar solo? Simply Red? Who f?ckn knows. Guess you’ll have to come along and find out.

Stimulation can’t wait to welcome back Eula and know u guys r gonna show the same kinda luv on 07/02 TICKETS IN BIO!!!!!!!

STIM is a neuroqueer arts and production organisation based in London. We create events, exhibitions, installations and community experiences rooted in a single founding belief: cognitive diversity is planetary health.

Neurodivergent minds are not aberrations to be corrected - they are expressions of natural cognitive biodiversity. The same diversity that is essential to the health of living systems, including the planet itself.

We create spaces that bring people together through making, doing and shared experience across art, music, performance, craft and culture.

Everything we produce is designed to be participatory, sensorial, embodied experiences that draw on neurodivergent knowledge as a design principle. They are a chance for ALL of us to regulate together, and feel better.

Social interaction and community development are essential to the health of our communities and our world. The same systems that fragment communities are the same systems driving environmental breakdown. When people make things together, fix things together and play together, the manufactured distances between us begin to dissolve. Fragmentation gives way to wholeness.

This is what it means to make a party political. STIM x Green Space are out here to make a better world, and you are very much invited. Credit and love to @tethyslamy for the content 💖

This beautiful video was made by the amazing @tethyslamy

There is a lot of work that goes into Stim, lots of different hats and different challenges. But there is no more joy to be had than making art with people you love. We do that together and we do that with you. Thank you everyone for making our dreams a reality - you were always in them <3

Community is empathy and by being creative together we are resistant.

Big love all , we’re working out the next stim and will be in touch

Similation Presents: LOVE’s Performers and Artists

We’ve upped our game and extended our list of collaborating artists for our LOVE fulled @thepostbartottenham takeover. Proudly presenting:

@headdlless - Ever seen a man make a room full of asses shake by playing a fisher price panda keyboard? No? Well welcome to circuit breaking. Transforming sound and preschool toys.

@itsromanackley - Allow me to present Roman’s most haunting and profound work to date: Privates View, being a series of extemporanious paintings rendered in black and gold on scarlet of the first image that came into my head when presented with a blank canvas.

@drewthwaites - One half of the driving force behind stimulation, Drew Thwaites is a multitalented performance artist who uses his character range to spotlight vulnerability and neuroqueer experiences.

@vanloop - Vanloop (Seb) has been performing and filming circus for 15 years. In combining those interests he has developed a unique aesthetic that utilises the camera as a prop and explores the limits of what’s possible with mixed-media circus. A true fan of the flow arts, he considers it his mission in life to show off people showing off.

@sweetboyt - Tommy is an artist and performer working with the body as a primary source of knowledge. His practice uses movement, improvisation, and physical presence to investigate identity as something fluid, situational, and embodied rather than fixed or intellectualised.
