While sorting through a loved one's belongings, a young couple uncovers more than just clutter and are forced to confront the future they've been avoiding. From our August 2025 prompt: an open lab!

A grieving mother and a distracted funeral director sit down to plan a memorial — and end up planning something neither of them expected. From our May 2025 prompt: Mayday! Mayday! Did you know the first planes to go missing in the Bermuda Triangle took off from Fort Lauderdale? Our city might mark one of the mysterious shape’s three vertices. Write a short play in which something or someone has gone missing.

Adieu by Christopher Notarnicola
Director - Ernesto K. Gonzalez
Bereaved - Keri Bruner

Lauder Made Vol. II is THIS WEEKEND ONLY!

Sound Board Mixing Showcase

“Come From Away” at the @maltzjupitertheatre

Have you ever wanted to have more than 10 fingers? This show surely made me want more fingers or maybe an extra limb for all the quick dialogue switches and full cast singing while others speak moments. What a thrill ride and CHALLENGE this show has been. Grateful to be able to continue to push my skills and practice at the board.

Shout out to Qlab’s (@figure53) ability to send MIDI cues to my Yamaha CL5. I could not have been able to do this show without it. And the Dan Dugan Automixer as well, utilized in very specific ways! ON for dialogue and OFF for singing. Lots of ON and OFF through out this show.

Thanks for following on the journey! taken in Maltz Jupiter Theatre by @nesto120

Sound Board Mixing Showcase
“Million Dollar Quartet” at the @maltzjupitertheatre

Probably the loudest show I’ve done while working at the Maltz! (My sound people, please wear ear protection and save your livelihood)

It’s been such a blast to rock out with this company of multifaceted talent!!!

Mixing is always the best part of the job.

"My name is Ernesto and this is my note from the public square."

We asked our ensemble, board, and supporters to share what theatre and/or New City Players means to them as we launch our Giving Tuesday campaign. These notes are becoming a beautiful chorus of why theatre matters in our community.

Help us raise $5,000 TODAY for our $10,000 for Year 10 Campaign—and add YOUR note to the public square when you donate.
