IT’S MY BIRTHDAY 🥳 I can’t believe how this year has flown by! At the beginning of the year, I had an amazing photoshoot with @msp_branding for a magazine feature and cover I was on 🥰 and I absolutely LOVE the photos 😍

If you had told young Lauren that she would grow up to be someone that was featured in a magazine while wearing bright red and pinks and wearing a crown, she probably would think you were making fun of her. She couldn’t see the confident Queen that was inside of her. I would love for us all to be able to hug our younger selves and tell them that everything will be ok 🫶 September is Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness of this crisis and to shift perceptions and share information to those impacted by metal health struggles. The @iaspinfo theme for this year’s #worldsuicidepreventionday is Changing the Narrative on Suicide. As someone that has been personally impacted by suicide, you never know what someone is going through, so be sure to check on the ones you love in your life (even the ones that seem happy and strong) 💕 and hug your friends and family close 🤗

This last year, I have been focusing on my health 🧘‍♀️ , and this year I’m focused focusing on spending more quality time with those I love ❤️

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, and I cherish each and every person that I have in my life. Wishing everyone lots of love and success! Let’s all commit to passing on our love to each other more this year 👑

By day, Lauren Marsicano is a Coral Gables businesswoman. By night, she is the executive director and founder of @women4successnonprofit.

Aftering studying law at Oxford University, Marsicano moved to Florida to work in corporate law. Seven years ago, she and her best friend Carolina Leyva launched their firm @ml_esquire in the Gables. Leyva focuses on family law, while Marsicano practices commercial litigation and business law.

Three years ago, Marsicano founded Women for Success, a nonprofit that provides women with free workshops, resources, mentorship, and small business grants. Through the organization, she has raised and donated tens of thousands of dollars to female startups.

This past September, Marsicano held her third “Female Founders Forum,” a three-day event connecting like-minded funders, founders, and entrepreneurs.

“For me, these people that we’re trying to help need to know that there is money out there and how to establish relationships with [investors]… A lot of this is about knowing how to get into the room, knowing how to pitch.”

For a while, I thought I had retired from networking.

As a private person with a public platform, I understand the value of showing up and building relationships, but I’ve always kept my circle small.

These days, life is FULL and my time is stretched across business ownership, motherhood, clients, family, and everything else I’m building, so I’ve become even more intentional about where I spend my energy.

Then I found @thedailydripofficial

I walked into my first Thought Leadership room and left genuinely awestruck.

The women are brilliant, ambitious, driven, thoughtful, and completely themselves.

They weren’t trying to become versions of each other. They were working toward becoming exceptional in their own universes.

I loved that.

There is something about being surrounded by women who have already built so much, while still being willing to learn, challenge themselves, share what they know, and keep growing.

It reminded me how much the right room can shift something in you.

I’m excited to be in a room that will challenge me to sharpen my voice, push my thinking, and take my thought leadership somewhere new.

A huge congratulations to The Daily Drip on celebrating five years, and to my girls @networkingmaverick for the incredible work she continues to build through Women for Success, and @itslifewithlex on being honored as a new Thought Leader and becoming a published author!!!
