ROME // FORO ITALICO

We spent two weeks in Rome together with master and friend Nicola Martini @neuemartini

Invited by @internazionalibnlditalia to work and experiment in a residency like situation we’ve set up a project called DOPPIO where our practices entered in dialogue and conflict.

Curated by @claudiapignatale and @giorgiogalotti DOPPIO gave us the chance to discuss and reflect using 11 cut out marble blocks as a game field and exploration terrain.

The resulting works of this dialogue (or match ? ) enter at their turn in dialogue with the amazing marble sculptures of athletes of the Pietrangeli stadium and through this last we guess will pose questions to the Foro Italico public about art and the idea of sculpture.

Thanks to Claudia and Giorgio for inviting us and letting us share a workshop with Nicola, like we used to for 2 years in Paris years ago.

Finalmente un invito ad abbracciare la complessità di una storia, invece che cedere al bisogno impellente di comunicare di avere un opinione su tutto o di essere omertosi per salvare le apparenze. Quando si sente di dover dare una risposta semplice ad un tema complesso forse meglio non darla; un abbraccio a chi pazientemente mi insegna che il silenzio non ha bisogno di essere arredato. Spero che l’attesa possa diventare una dimensione del possibile anche per me in futuro. #leonardocaffo #corriere by @neuemartini

On Tuesday November the 16th @clima_gallery will hosts “Appunti dall’ Inframezzo” my first solo show at the gallery. Within the project a published dialogue with philosopher and friend @leonardocaffo will be available at the gallery.

Happy to take part of @dittrichschlechtriem Berliner Luft, a project where cultural content is challenging the bulimic visual communication of our time..This is an ongoing photographic research project I have with @jmenzani previously showed at @megamegamegamegamegamegamega in Milan, some of the images were also constructed in Favignana island in Sicily during @incurva_ #curvablu residency...So people in Berlin swing by the gallery taken in DITTRICH & SCHLECHTRIEM by @neuemartini
