🌿 It’s rarely one big thing that makes you start wondering.

It’s the little things.

The socks that have to come off.
The homework that ends in tears.
The child who’s ā€œfineā€ at school but falls apart at home.

Individually, they’re easy to explain away.

But together? You start thinking, ā€œThere’s more going on here.ā€

You don’t need a diagnosis or the perfect explanation to start.

🌿 Start with what you’re noticing.

Here, I help you recognise the signs, understand what they could mean, and feel more confident about what to do next.

If you’re at the ā€œI know something’s going on, but I have no idea whatā€ stage, comment START below. šŸ¤

You are not alone.

🌿 As a Mum, you are the expert on your child & understanding them starts with you.

You don’t need a label, a diagnosis or a perfect explanation before you can start putting the right support in place. You just need the right information - whether that’s around behaviour, possible neurodivergent traits, support at home, or what to ask school for.

Comment SENSORY, CLARITY, DECODER or EHCP for the next step that fits — or START if you’re not sure which one is right for you.

You are not alone.

🌿 Grateful to be recognised, quoted & trusted by
Mums, Teachers & the Media.

Being quoted by the media is lovely, but hearing from a Mum who finally understands what she’s seeing in her child means even more.

I spent 15 years teaching in mainstream & specialist schools in the UK, so I’ve seen first-hand how differently a child can present at home and at school.

The press pieces reflect the conversations I care about having publicly, while the parent stories show what that looks like in real life: understanding what’s underneath behaviour, knowing how to support your child at home and feeling more confident speaking to school about what they need.

It you teel like there’s more going on with your child and you really want to get to the bottom of it, follow me - and tell me below, what are you finding hardest right now: home or school?

You are not alone.

🌿 Parents’ evening this week? šŸ‘€

You’ve got 10 minutes with your child’s teacher, a head full of worries & absolutely no idea where to start!

Sound familiar? šŸ™ˆ

After 15 years as a teacher & SEND specialist, there’s one thing I really want you to know…

How well your child is doing academically doesn’t tell you everything about how they’re coping.

And the questions you ask can make SUCH a difference.

Because you know your child. Their teacher knows the classroom. And when you bring those two perspectives together, you can start to see the whole picture. 🌿

So I’ve put together 5 questions I’d ask at parents’ evening that you probably wouldn’t even think to ask!

→ Save them for your meeting.

And if you come away still feeling there’s more to the picture, you don’t have to work it all out yourself.

🌿 Comment CLARITY to find out how my 1:1 Parent Clarity Call can help you understand what’s really going on & what to do next.

You’ve got this!

🌿 Parents’ evening this week? šŸ‘€

As a former teacher & SEND specialist, I know it’s not just about how well your child is doing at school. It’s about how they’re COPING.

And the questions you ask can make all the difference!

🌿 Follow me — tomorrow I’m sharing 5 questions I’d ask to help you understand how your child is REALLY getting on at school.

And they’re probably not the ones you’d expect! šŸ˜‰

🌿 ā€œShe’s absolutely fine, she’s doing really well!ā€

Lovely…. Except you’ve spent the last three mornings
ā‘  Battling over socks,
ā‘” Managing Armageddon before school
ā‘¢ Watching your child completely fall apart when she gets home!

And don’t even mention the reading book.
Or, God forbid, the weekly spellings! šŸ™ˆ

Here’s what her Teacher isn’t seeing. (Not because she isn’t a good teacher, but because she isn’t her Mum!) šŸ‘‡

Getting through the school day & coping with the school day are two very different things…

Her teacher sees how she’s managing at school.
YOU see what it takes for her to manage — & what happens when she gets home.

When your child is working hard to manage noise, instructions, friendships & classroom expectations, getting through the day takes an enormous amount of effort. And home is where you see the cost.

🌿 So, if you’re heading to parents’ evening this week, ask this question to dig a little deeper:

Q: ā€œWhat have you noticed happens when she’s finding something difficult but doesn’t ask you for help?ā€

And remember, YOU are the expert on your child.
Tell their teacher what you’re seeing at home.

Because children only get the best support when parents & teachers understand the whole picture.

🌿 Save this for parents’ evening & look out for my next carousel —

The 5 questions I’d ask as a former teacher & SEND specialist to help you understand how your child is REALLY getting on at school, and what support they need to thrive.

You are not alone.

🌿 What do you worry about with your child?

I was a teacher & a SEN specialist. And I still found myself fighting for my own child.

So if you’re worrying & wondering whether your child needs more support, I know how overwhelming it feels.

But imagine knowing exactly what your child’s behaviour is telling you, how to help them at home & what you need to ask for at School...

Because when you understand what’s really underneath your child’s behaviour and know how to fight for the right support, you can change their whole experience of education.

That’s what I want for every Mum & every Child. šŸ¤

🌿 Ever wish someone could just look at the whole picture and tell you what you’re missing?

The School Mornings. The BIG reactions. The Child who’s ā€œfine at schoolā€ but completely different at home.

I’m a Former Teacher & Children’s SEN Specialist, & this is exactly what I do in my 1:1 Parent Clarity Calls.

I connect the dots so you can stop second-guessing yourself & start understanding your child needs & what to do next.

That feeling. Calmer. Clearer. Back in control.

Comment CLARITY if you’re ready to feel that way too. 🌿

.🌿 If your child’s DLA has been refused, please don’t assume that’s the end of it.

Often, the problem isn’t that your child doesn’t meet the criteria but that the application hasn’t clearly shown how much extra help, care or supervision they need compared with another child the same age.

If you’re looking at the refusal letter thinking, ā€œI have no idea what to do next,ā€ I can help.

I offer support with both DLA applications and Mandatory Reconsiderations, including helping you work out what needs strengthening and what evidence matters.

🌿 Comment DLA and I’ll send you the details.

You’re not alone.

🌿 Already wondering which child you’ll collect from school tomorrow?

When school says they’ve been ā€œfineā€ but home tells a completely different story, I don’t just look at the meltdown.

I help you find the whole pattern, thats usually hiding underneath the surface.

Because once you gather all the pieces and start to make sense them, you can stop second-guessing yourself and start feeling clearer about what your child needs next.

That’s exactly what I do in a 1:1 Parent Clarity Session.

Comment CLARITY and I’ll send you the link. 🌿

🌿 Do you think there’s something in this?
A space for the Mums who know something isn’t adding up… but don’t want to work it all out alone?

There was something about being in a room full of Mums who just got it.

The laughing. The honesty. The ā€œoh thank goodness it’s not just meā€ moments….
And it made me think about the Mums in the middle.

The Mum who knows her child best… but is quietly wondering why ordinary things seem so much harder for them.

āžœ Why mornings unravel.
āžœ Why tiny changes become huge.
āžœ Why school sees one child and home sees another.

You don’t have a label.
You just know something isn’t adding up.

I kept thinking how different that stage could feel if you had other mums around you who understood — & the knowledge to make sense of what you’re seeing.

🌿 Would you want something like that?
Tell me honestly ↓ I’d really love to know.

Thankyou No Parental Guidance for such a gorgeous morning — full of laughter, honesty & Mums who absolutely get it. šŸ¤

You are not alone.
