We are truly humbled by the unprecedented growth of Never Alone Widows over the last few years. It's clear that the need for community and support is great, but more than that, the need for freedom and restoration that can only come through the Holy Spirit is greater!

“What Do I Know!” 📖 a Widow’s Might devo by Jenn Japp

“He brought me out into a broad place;
he rescued me, because he delighted in me.”
Psalm 18:19 esv

Loss is like getting off a plane in the middle of nowhere with no cell service or luggage. You’ve lost your bearings, itinerary, and enthusiasm. It’s uncharted territory. It won’t be a quick fix. This is going to require you to hike out. The landscape is harsh. Your compass is gone. You will have to ask yourself one thing. What do I know? Recount things you’ve learned along the way, truths proven by the Lord over and over. He is acquainted with my ways. Where I am weak, he is strong. He hems me in, before and behind. God is my true north. His promises are the real map.

Don’t look left or right, I set my gaze on him. He has untapped mercies waiting for me that were bought at the cross. He is living water to sustain me in weary seasons. He is my protector and eternal hope. I can take him at his word and navigate this landscape by his grace. by @neveralonewidows

Last week, 25 widows gathered on Lake Lanier for another retreat filled with healing, community, and hope. We watched Jesus do what He does time and time again: restore and rebuild the hearts of widows.
With every retreat, we know God has something incredible in store for each woman who attends, yet every time, we leave in complete awe. To see the weight of the world on the shoulders of women walking through the doors, and then watch them leave with a growing hope that many of their best days are still ahead, is something we will never get over.

If you have never served or been to one of our
@neveralonewidows retreats you truly cannot understand what it's like to watch 25 women come alive, experience hope and LIVE again. This video was what the owner of the home where we were was seeing when we were making 'some noise'🫣! He sent it to us because it moved him to tears. I would get arrested before I would let this dance party end. To watch widows dancing on their grave clothes is something to behold. I hope to goodness that I never forget what it sounds like hearing widows declare they want to dance again! I'll take the heat for that any day😉😊! And shout out to the fabulous @eb_cole and @_shane_cole for leading us to the dance floor! by @neveralonewidows

✨Local Leader Highlight✨Kim’s story is a powerful reminder that God doesn’t waste the broken places. He is still redeeming, still restoring, and still writing.

“July 12, 2018 my husband met Jesus and freedom came rushing into my life in the saddest way imaginable.

I didn’t have the happily-ever-after marriage story. We had beautiful memories and good seasons, but much of our marriage was marked by control and manipulation, and for more than 30 years, I carried pain and secrets I didn’t know how to share.

Five years into my grief journey, I found the courage to tell my story and discovered a freedom I didn’t even know I needed.

Today, leading a NAW local chapter is such an honor. I get to link arms with other widows and remind them that Jesus can meet us in the broken places and redeem even the hardest chapters.

I am in awe that He has taken my pain, my brokenness, and my story and is using it for His purposes. Your story isn’t over, and neither is mine because Jesus is still writing it.”
