For nearly a decade, we’ve done something truly radical… Absolutely nothing with our email list.

No news updates. No product emails. Not a single mass, marketing email to the people who’ve signed up to get email news from us. We just… forgot. While we were busy making lattes, dreaming up flavors, and talking to anyone who’d call just to chat coffee blends, a little garden was quietly growing behind the scenes.

This weekend, we peeked in.

There are over 30,000 of you signed up to get emails from Never, waiting (patiently!) for us to send something. That’s a small city. In fact, there are 221 cities in Oregon with under 30,000 people.

Early fall has a little story;
Chilly morning, warm Filbert in hand. Noon arrives along with sunshine and it’s mid-day bit, the cup becomes icy and cloud-soft. Whatever the weather’s up to, the toasted hazelnuts have a lot to say about it, we promise. by @neverlab

Our current favorite on the lineup for a mild acidity, easy drinker, with nostalgic tones of honey smacks and caramel apple. Beautiful for filter brew methods or a rich and creamy espresso paired with milk. A cozy coffee just in time for the cozy season 🍯💛 by @neverlab

It’s time! The Filbert! 🌰 Inviting you into fall this Friday, in both cafes. Roasty toasty Oregon hazelnuts, cacoa nibs, topped with a candied salty sweet dust.

We’ve been feeling into the slower moments, reflecting on the bustling summer days that have left us full hearted, and this one is made for orange dipped leaf-filled crisp walks in your favorite sweater.

For an espresso-less version - get it as a fall fog, with @smithteamaker Autumn Leaves. Yunnan black tea, ancho chile, cinnamon, clove, double fold vanilla, and ginger. The dream team you’ve longed for.

As always, Cait has a way of dreaming ingredients to life, layering each moment into a thoughtful creation. The Filbert has become a tradition of our Autumnal offerings 🍂🍁🍃 we’ll see you soon. by @neverlab

Thank you for coming out and supporting the continual experimentation, sharing your thoughts, and returning for more. The next decade of signature creations are going to be top notch, we can feel it in our bones.

Wednesday 8/26 - Anniversary Day! Celebrating a decade of serving you all in our Belmont space with a $1 drink special! Any Drink, All Day, Both Locations. Yes we said it, any drink!

Thursday 8/27 - A special brewing of some of our current favorites, alongside our good friends in the beautiful @thestazione space. Sun soaked tasting room, sharing in tasty brunch bites, and table-side brews.

Friday 8/28 - Ever wanted to learn more about coffee’s journey before it makes it to the roastery? Our dear friend Jen @genuineorigin will be joining us for a special tasting of some roaster and importer selected offerings to share this story in our lab! Open to all tasters, coffee enthusiasts, and enjoyers alike.

Saturday 8/29 - Lab’s open. Kettle’s on. Bring your curiosity. @smithteamaker is pouring some of their favorite seasonal teas, @ollinipdx is baking up pastries made just for the occasion, and we’ll be running one of our single origins on espresso.

We’ve poured Smith Tea in our lab since day one, and for the last five years @cafeolli has given our coffee a home in their space. Come sit, sip, and stamp the weekend with some slow moments with good friends.

Sunday 8/30 - Blue’s setting up shop at @cafeolli , slinging complimentary brews from our current lineup while brunch comes together. We’re big fans of this space — turns out the feeling’s mutual, one cup at a time. by @neverlab
