RAW VIBE × NEWCASTLE CIRCUS ARTS

TIME TRAVELLERS CIRCUS — 31.10.26

Somewhere between the past and the future, there’s a place where the clock stops ticking.

On Halloween, we’re opening the door.

Deep inside the John Marley Centre, Newcastle, Raw Vibe summons a night of warped frequencies, strange encounters and otherworldly movement. Expect lasers and visuals provided by LZRSHFT, cutting through smoke, ritualistic acrobatics, heavy sound and shadows that don’t behave.

S.Murk · Kid Cosmit · Amelia Leigh · Neenzy · TifFin

A special venue just off Whickham View in Benwell. A forbidden hour. A collision of rave and circus from another timeline.

Come dressed for the Time Travellers circus — step out of any era, dimension or imagined future. Arrive as a Victorian ghost, a raving time traveller, a prehistoric prophet, a space-age renegade, a cybernetic wanderer or anything else you can conjure. The only rule is to dress like you’ve travelled through time to find us.

John Marley Centre, Newcastle — NE15 6TT

£6.66 advance / £10 OTD

Leave your timeline at the door.

The future has already happened. 🕰️

The next @cirko.norda show is here!!!

THE DINNER 🕯️

Step inside The Dinner — an immersive youth circus theatre experience filled with strange guests, eerie happenings, circus, storytelling and a touch of the supernatural.

Created and performed by our youth circus ensemble, the show combines acrobatics, aerial, physical theatre and audience interaction to transform an ordinary dinner gathering into something altogether more mysterious.

As the evening unfolds, the audience will become part of the world of the show, encountering unusual characters, unexplained events and a theatrical séance as the company attempts to uncover the secrets surrounding the dinner table.

Please note: despite the title, a full dinner will not be served at this event. Light nibbles and refreshments will be available as part of the experience.

This production contains spooky themes, supernatural references and a staged séance. It is therefore not suitable for all ages or very young children, and parents and carers should use their discretion when booking.

Expect an atmospheric, playful and slightly unsettling evening of contemporary circus and immersive theatre — and perhaps a few unexpected guests at the table.

A love letter to the circus! 💖🎪

Dear circus, you are absolutely class. Without you, I’d be really bored or really boring. You’ve given me superhero friends with extraordinary abilities. You’ve made me me, and without me, I don’t know who I’d be. You’ve taught me things that you can’t learn in a classroom or sitting at a desk. You’ve taught me how to make a community and build respect. You’ve saved my life in more ways than one, and I’m so glad that I stuck around for the long run. And I hope you’ll always be here, because without your joy, I don’t know what the world would be. I love you.

CALLOUT & GRATITUDE POST! 💖

Hi everyone! Hannah here (with Theo & Hank)! If you don’t know me I’m the CEO of NCA and lover of all things circus & community!! Would you beleive it was 3 years ago we ran OUR VERY FIRST CLASS? Thank you!!

Over the last 3 years, what started as a love of circus, performance and bringing people together has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

We’ve built a home for circus in Newcastle, created opportunities for young people and artists, made shows, taken work out into communities, performed on world stages, brough in visiting artists from all over the world, filled rooms with people trying things they never thought they could do, and slowly built a brilliant little creative ecosystem in Studio Deco and the JMC.
And we’re still building.
As Newcastle Circus Arts moves into its next chapter and begins the transition towards becoming a charity, I’m really interested in who else might want to be part of that story.
I’m passionate about co-creation, community and collaboration, exploring where circus can go as an artform or what we can discover through research and development.

So this is an open invitation to the North East creative community.
If you’re an artist, maker, musician, dancer, theatre-maker, designer, filmmaker, producer, photographer, chef, community organiser, venue, business, or simply someone with a wonderfully strange idea or practice, I’d love to hear from you.
Maybe you want to make something site-specific in Studio Deco.
Maybe there’s a project we could co-create
Or maybe you just want to come along, take a class, see a show, volunteer, support the work or find out what on earth we’re building over here.
Come and be part of it.

Drop me a message, comment, tag someone we should say hi to, or come and say hello at Studio Deco.

The North East is a magnetic and synergistic place to be creative & play! Come play with us!!

⚠️LAST CALL FOR @cirko.norda PROGRAMME AUDITIONS⚠️

Do you have a young person (aged 8-19) who is passionate about performing, developing their skills, finding their people and figuring out where their creativity could take them?

We’re looking for new members to join Cirko Norda Youth Circus Ensemble.

You don’t need to already be a circus performer. We’re welcoming young people from all kinds of performing arts backgrounds who are excited to develop their practice, work hard and try something new.

Our young people train up to twice a week at our circus studio in the West End of Newcastle, working alongside professional circus artists and performance facilitators to develop their own skills and artistry.

The programme also helps young people build industry relationships, connect with professional artists and explore opportunities for further professional development and creative careers.

They get opportunities to create work together, perform at festivals and events around the UK, meet other artists and become part of a really special community.

We’re looking for young people with enthusiasm, commitment and a genuine love of performing.

If that sounds like someone you know, this is the last chance to RSVP for auditions.
