🎓 Arabella is trainer-approved and ready for her next step!

Remember Arabella? After working hard with the trainer, she is officially finishing up her stay and is ready to transition into a permanent foster home!

Her time in training has helped her work through her initial reactivity and big feelings, and now she needs a confident, dedicated foster family to help her maintain her structure, routines, and progress in a real home environment. Outside of her training journey, Arabella is a total cuddle bug, extraordinarily sweet, super eager to please, and loves to learn.

What Arabella needs to thrive in her next home:

- Environment: A quiet, low-traffic neighborhood (a suburban or rural house with a yard is ideal—condos or busy downtown streets are a bit too overwhelming for her right now).

- Pet Dynamics: Best as the single pet in the home to soak up all your love, or with an experienced foster who is comfortable managing crate-and-rotate routines. She would do best without female dog roommates.

- Family Setup: A peaceful home with adults or dog-savvy older children (12+) who can respect her space and follow her routine.

- Support: An experienced, confident handler willing to stick to her established training plan—with 100% ongoing support from our team and trainer!

Drumroll please..... 🥁🥁 meet Thumper!! This girl is only 7 months old and looking for her forever home!! She is incredibly playful and friendly and curious about the whole world! She's working on containing her excitement with other dogs and the distractions of life while on walks, but she is highly food motivated and eager to learn! At home, she enjoys playing with her toys, cuddles, and just being near her humans!!

We'll be taking care of this darling girl till she finds her forever home 💝 Welcome to the foster den, we're so happy to have you!

ADOPT PHOENIX 🐦‍🔥

It’s about time I introduced you guys to my fosters properly! First up- meet Phoenix! Phoenix is a silly, goofy, 30lb bully mix estimated to be about four years old. She was found, likely dumped, on the streets with her sister Mishka (who is also now available for adoption!) and they were both brought to Hamilton Animal Services before being pulled by the always amazing @newcollarco ❤️❤️

Phoenix is a great little dog. She’s already overcome so much. She came to Honey K9 to learn strategies to manage big feelings like fear and insecurity. She’s been doing SO WELL, and this amazing girl is ready to find her forever.

Phoenix would thrive with an active family. She’d love regular walks, hikes, and most importantly, regular playtime! She’s got great play and food drive and needs a family that’s willing to keep her happy and enriched with breed specific outlets.

This little lady is a HUGE cuddle bug and loves being near her people. She loves children and she gets along great with the other dogs, as long as they don’t mind a more boisterous player! She is a little too interested in cats and should not be left unsupervised with them. She loves her foster siblings and would love to have another dog in her future home, but this isn’t a deal breaker.

She truly is such a sweet silly girl that deserves the world. A small dog with a big personality that just wants people to love. She’s come a long way with training but of course learning never stops- so I’m offering FREE TRAINING FOR LIFE for whoever adopts Phoenix (aka Miss feeny bobeenie).

As you probably heard this month our veterinary bills went through the roof.

When an animal comes into rescue, there are certain things we simply can’t skip. Spay/neuter, vaccines, testing, microchips, parasite treatment and, sometimes, unexpected medical care.

This carousel shows what some of that care actually costs.

And while routine veterinary care is something we plan for, this month brought significantly higher-than-usual expenses. Some animals needed dental care, additional diagnostics and major medical treatment.

Now we need your help getting those bills back down.

We need your help. Please help us pay our veterinary bills!

Our vet costs have climbed to around $18,000, significantly higher than our usual monthly expenses.

Some of this came from unexpected needs, like Shiloh’s extensive care and Aurelia’s additional testing and treatment. But much of it is also the everyday cost of rescue: spays, neuters, dental work, medications, testing and follow-up care.

Astral and Aisling are a good reminder that even when nothing dramatic happens, smaller veterinary costs can add up quickly.

The bills shown in this post are excerpts from the complete, multi-page veterinary invoices we received. We’ve included a few of the highest-cost examples to give you a glimpse of what we’re facing.

These bills have to be paid before we can continue taking on more animals, and right now we need our community behind us.
