The Croydon Community Wellbeing Precinct is a place of connection and belonging, where everyone can feel empowered to care for their health and wellbeing.

Newpol is delighted to partner with @maroondahcitycouncil and @co_opstudio to deliver Stage 3 of the Master Plan, the Multipurpose Hub, which will be home to the Croydon Bowls Club, the Croydon RSL, and local sporting groups.

The new facility will house three social spaces for these community groups and extend to two new bowling greens, providing players with access to 16 upgraded rinks.

We will draw on our experience delivering glulam structures, a notable feature of this build that will create a light-filled and welcoming environment for members and visitors alike.

Our Site Manager, Grant, highlights the structural works underpinning the heart of the Performing Arts Centre: the expansive auditorium.

As the facility continues to evolve, our team is preparing to transform its current shell into a bold, inspiring environment that will nurture self-expression, confidence, and collaboration.

We’ll be back soon with the third installment of this four-part series, where we’ll showcase the defining architectural elements of this intricate, grand design.

Our monthly reminder that learning never stops.

•

This morning our team visited our Fintona Girls’ School project in Balwyn, where we are delivering a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre in partnership with @coxarchitecture and @gallagherjeffs.

Each quarter, we hold our monthly construction meeting on one of our active project sites to provide greater visibility across the business, encourage knowledge sharing, and strengthen connections between teams.

A longstanding feature of these meetings is our Lessons Learnt segment, where team members from across the organisation share recent challenges, the insights gained, and the solutions implemented. This initiative reflects our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration, and People First, fostering a culture of openness, trust, and continuous improvement. It encourages healthy conversations about challenges and reinforces the importance of learning, growing, and improving together.

A big thank you to our project team, Dayne, Grant and Kaylee, for hosting the visit and sharing the valuable lessons they have gained while delivering a project of this scale and complexity.

It was a pleasure to partner with @bspnarchitecture and @macseye_melbourne to deliver the St Carlo Acutis Children’s Hub, conveniently co-located with the primary school, where Newpol recently completed a multi-stage development.

Designed to support high-quality early years education, the two-storey hub provides rich and engaging learning environments that encourage exploration across a range of STEM and creative disciplines, while enabling seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor learning and play.

The adaptable learning spaces also support MACSEYE’s integrated approach to delivering Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services for primary-aged children, alongside their kindergarten programs.

Introducing St Carlo Acutis Catholic Primary School

•

This collaborative, multi-stage development has transformed a greenfield site into a thriving school campus in Melbourne’s northern growth corridor, Wollert.

Since commencing onsite in 2024, Newpol has delivered two multi-purpose learning facilities incorporating the campus’ main reception, staff offices, general and specialist learning areas, and large gathering spaces for students from Foundation to Year 6.

Distinctive architectural features, including intricate brickwork patterns and archways, are complemented by an extensive landscaping package featuring nature play areas, bicycle storage facilities, and associated paving. Students can also enjoy the two sporting fields, which were delivered under a D&C contract, comprising one synthetic field and one natural turf.

It has been our pleasure to support the delivery of what is now a thriving school community.
