Tintern Grammar | Project Update

Work is well underway at Tintern Grammar, with the Green Isle Projects team delivering the full carpentry package as part of the school’s latest development.

There’s plenty happening across site, so here’s a look at our team in action as the new spaces continue to take shape.

Great to see the progress being made and to be working alongside the wider project team to bring this one together.

Plenty more to come from Tintern Grammar as the build progresses. #greenisleprojects #commercialcarpentry #carpentry #construction #melbournebuilders

Progress is underway at Tintern Grammar's new VCE Centre 🔨🏗

We're making solid progress with the installation of new windows, helping to create brighter, more comfortable, and energy efficient learning spaces for students and staff.

It's great to see the transformation taking shape, one window at a time.

The St Teresa Library at @avila_college is officially complete and occupied. After sharing progress throughout the build, we’re excited to showcase the completed project.

Designed to support Avila College’s vision for future-focused learning, the St Teresa Library provides a highly connected and accessible environment for students and staff. Positioned at the heart of the campus, its porous and open design activates the surrounding landscape and buildings, encouraging movement, interaction and student-centred engagement.

As a vibrant campus hub, the St Teresa Library enhances wellbeing, social connection and equitable access to resources and information. Designed with pedagogy at its core, the facility supports digital inclusion, student agency and a balance of independent and collaborative learning experiences, fostering curiosity, inquiry and student-centred engagement.

Today, we proudly and officially opened our Mannix Year 7 & 8 Learning Precinct, marking a significant milestone in the life of our College.

It was a privilege to welcome a number of distinguished guests, including Reverend Archbishop Tim Costelloe SDB, Archbishop of Perth, Bishop Thinh Nguyen, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Melbourne, College Rector Father Peter Carroll SDB, our Board Chair Stephen Moloney and members of the College Board, and Principal Mark Ashmore. We also welcomed local Members of Parliament Steve Dimopoulos and Matt Fregon, Mayor Stuart James, along with our valued partners from Newpol Construction, McIldowie Partners and Orchard Designs.

We were also pleased to be joined by community partners who continue to play an important role in the life of the College, while our staff and students shared in the occasion via a livestream.

A particularly meaningful part of today’s celebration was welcoming Archbishop Tim Costelloe back to Salesian College Chadstone. As a past student, former teacher and Rector of the College, his presence and leadership in blessing and officially opening the precinct made this occasion all the more special for our community.

More than just new buildings, this precinct is a place of welcome, connection and growth. It has been thoughtfully created to support our students at a pivotal stage of their journey, where confidence, character and a strong sense of belonging are shaped each day.

We are deeply grateful to all who brought this vision to life through leadership, partnership and care, and to everyone who joined us for this special and historic occasion.

🌟 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent building tour to Kilvington Grammar School’s ‘The Hive’ STEM & Library Centre! 🌟

The event was a fantastic success, with a full house of educators, designers, and school leaders coming together to explore this award-winning learning environment.

A special thank you to Kilvington Grammar School for hosting LEV and generously opening up The Hive for our community to experience firsthand.

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects for sharing insights into the design process, and to our supporting sponsor Milliken and event sponsor Spectrum Flooring for making the event possible.

It was inspiring to hear reflections from our members and see how spaces like these are shaping innovative, future-focused learning.

Events like this continue to highlight the power of collaboration, design, and shared ideas in shaping the future of learning environments.

Next up, we’re excited to bring you Speaker Series 1: Who shapes your learning? with NoTosh ... stay tuned for more details!
