There are more possible chess games than atoms in the observable universe. ♟️🌌

64 squares. 32 pieces. And still, nearly every game you play has never been played before, and never will be again.

That’s why chess trains the mind like nothing else: memory, creativity, imagination, all at once.

Send this to someone who still thinks chess is “just a game.”

Every possible move is already on the board. So are we really choosing? ♟️

If everything were predetermined, we’d always play the perfect move. But we don’t. We hesitate, we blunder, we gamble.

Maybe free will isn’t about finding the perfect move. Maybe it’s about which imperfection you’re willing to live with.

You’re defined not by the moves available, but by the ones you choose.

Free will: real or illusion? 👇

That belief is at the heart of why I’m building @newrochess.

In this first part, I’m sharing what drew me to chess, the problem I see, and the thinking behind Newro.
