2025 has been a blast! Couldn't fit every competitor and comp into the highlight, but there will be more! Thank you guys for a great year!

2026 is going to be even bigger.

Even if your opponent is the first to initiate, we can still come out on top with superior counters. Counter the arm drag with your own arm drag.

Passing will often give your opponent a dilemma. Either concede the pass or expose the back to defend the pass.
This was a good example of that. Opponent defends the pass but turns and exposes his back. Didn't rush the back take, knew it was there and waited for the opportunity to establish control. taken in Nexus American Jiu Jitsu by @nexus_ajj

IBJJF gonna IBJJF.

This video is meant as a break down and critique of a match at No-Gi Pans that everyone who was there (even the opponent's coaches and team) thought was scored wrong.
Nobody in Jiu Jitsu can agree on rule set. No matter what you do, someone will game the rules and others will complain.

Even if you do not agree with our break down of the match scoring and rules, something is clearly wrong.

How can you win every exchange in a match, and still lose.

How is that deciding who
is a better grappler?

⚔️✨ MULTICLASS ✨⚔️

ADULT SUPER HEAVY BROWN BELT
NO GI PANS 🥉
.
A HUGE thank you to @zanettaporetti for the coaching and showing up for the gang 🥰
.
Every year my life evolves which means comp prep has to evolve with it, lest it be left to settle at the bottom of the bog. This time around, I could not travel like I used to, and knew this was going to be a stretch with a training time budget of 2-3 times a week max. I just needed people to show up for me to maximize the effectiveness of my training.
.
I’ve been training Jiu Jitsu for 7.5 years. I’m a mom of three, a Type 1 diabetic, a coach, an athlete, and now I’m trying to build something of my own here in Harrisburg. As you can imagine, when you’re putting XP into several classes at once, leveling up takes a little longer. Come on spark ✨
.
I am traveling to cross train a lot less than I used to, because this is the direction my path has taken me for now. When it came time to prepare, I had to lean heavily on the room I’m building—and what happened made me incredibly proud.
.
My students showed up. They gave me rounds. They challenged me. They worked hard, adapted, learned, and helped me continue to grow as an athlete.
.
And a few people got in their cars and traveled to Harrisburg specifically to help me. Thank you @alliwmcer06 , @colingironda , @fancydragon_bjj
.
I will not forget that effort and support ❤️
.
The older I get, the less interested I am in what people say they value and the more interested I am in what they actually do.
.
So to my students and the people who traveled to help me prepare: THANK YOU!
.
I’m really fucking proud of what we’re building here. 🖤
.
Enjoy the slides, there is a lot of lore in there.👀
.
A special thank you to the @odenjiujitsu for always making space for me to train when I’m in town and a HUGE hug of gratitude to the women who traveled there to prep.
