We are excited to share the recording of our book presentation with Giuseppe “Nexus” Gatti, author of Made with Italy, as part of the European Hip Hop Studies Network Webinar Series.

What happens when we look at Hip Hop through the connections between Italy and the United States?

In this fascinating conversation, Giuseppe takes us through his 360° approach to Hip Hop — bringing together practice, research, cultural activism, and lived experience within the scene.

We talk about:
→ Hip Hop as a living culture and the relationship between practice and research
→ Migration and transnational cultural exchange
→ Made in Italy and Hip Hop aesthetics
→ the Vibe Magazine and the connections between street culture and Italian fashion
