Experience the defining (and perhaps only) crustaceous comedy of a generation with the official trailer for our nautical odyssey THE PERIL AT PINCER POINT.

What started as an inside joke has extrapolated into both bamboozling means and our wildest dreams. This “hodgepodge curio” has changed our lives, all made with the indie spirit that however few doubloons in your pocket — that’s already more than enough to make your movie.

The film is currently touring festivals around the world, including the US, Canada, Australia, UK and moving into Europe and Asia next. If there exists a curiosity or desire to see Jim Baitte on your city’s big screen, scream it from the rooftops or shoot us an email at gittescross@gmail.com and by Neptune we’ll do our best. #SCUTTLAMANIA knows no borders nor bounds.

Watch in glorious 4K via link in bio.

It’s the gadzooks of a lifetime, folks. Our humble nano-budget crustaceous comedy THE PERIL AT PINCER POINT is scuttling to Texas to WORLD PREMIERE at @sxsw 2026.

We owe it all to our crew — some who slept with heads in ovens and feet in microwaves; our cast — improvising and ad-libbing their way through a preposterous plot with fortitude and fines; our paper thin post team — conjuring all sorts of nautical sorcery; our trailblazing muse and dear friend @jackredmayne — who we wrote this fable for, and above all else my brother in brine @jakelakuhn — after 10 years of friendship we at last inflated an inside joke to utterly absurd proportions.

As a fish chose millions of years ago to walk on land, we are now asking that you make the choice to walk towards Austin. We’re screening a bunch across the festival so come on down. Let us invite you to Pincer Point. Perhaps stay a while. There’s enough prophecies to go ‘round.

Our wonderful poster illustrated by the spectacular @kylehiltonillo!

NEW YORK PREMIERE. Jim Baitte's sailing across the Atlantic to take a fat bite of the big apple. We're honoured and delighted to be screening at the historic Walter Reade Theatre for @filmlinc's 14th Scary Movies season, sponsored by @mubi — including a Q&A with some of our crustaceous crew. CANADIAN PREMIERE. Another day, another "we can't believe this is happening" festival announcement. We're thrilled to have the illustrious @fantasiafestival (on its glorious 30th anniversary) host our Canadian premiere in Montreal for THE PERIL AT PINCER POINT, screening at the beginning of August.

Even more announcements to come... taken in Montreal, Canada by @nhoast

UK PREMIERE. Jim Baitte is sailing home for @edfilmfest in August.

It goes without barnacles to say that it's truly an honour being asked to bring this labour of love to such a revered and special festival, celebrating national grassroots filmmaking at its most whimsical degree.

We're proud enough of this film that according to @hollywoodreporter Jake sacrificed his directing credit in order for us to get in. Credit well spent!

We can't wait to see you all there at the beginning of our swashbuckling UK / EUROPE tour. Yippee me lad — yippee! taken in Edinburgh, Scotland by @nhoast

"For those on the film’s wavelength, the committedly loopy beauty of the vision here is strangely galvanizing."

Never leave the house again without sporting the biggest movie of our generation. We'll be distributing a limited stock of free FROGOPOLIS shirts (as seen and worn in almost every frame of the film) to a number of @sxsw screening attendees, and those that can summon the barnacles to flank a member of the Pincer Point team with the code phrase "Have you ever seen Frogopolis?" #BeLikeBaitte by @nhoast
