Some of you know me through my writing, performance, and creative collaborations. I’d love to welcome you into Oshun’s Palace, too.

For me, story, sound, ceremony, and embodied care flow from the same source: ancestral knowledge, the life practice of remembering, and the possibility of sovereignty.

Oshun’s Palace is an intimate healing studio in Germantown, Philadelphia, near the Wissahickon. Here, we tend the physical, energetic, and cosmic womb through spiritual baths, sacred bodywork, sound, and other forms of care.

We have been taught to think of the womb only in terms of fertility or pregnancy.

But the womb is so much more than reproduction.

It is a place where ancestral and life experience meets body chemistry to determine our vitality. It is connected to the nervous system, the pelvic bowl, our cycles, and the ways we experience safety within our own bodies. It is a marker of how well our blood circulates, how well our liver and kidneys detoxify. It is the 5th Vital sign.

At Oshun's Palace, womb care is not about fixing the womb.

It is about listening to it.

Before we knew language, we were held in water.

Before there were hospitals, pharmacies, and a wellness industry, our ancestors turned to the waters for cleansing, prayer, protection, healing, and renewal.
The first spiritual bath is the womb.

The ocean.

Water has always been medicine.

Long before wellness became an industry, waters were places of prayer, cleansing, restoration, and renewal. Rivers carried stories. Oceans held memory. Baths marked transitions. Water was understood not simply as something we consumed, but as something we entered into relationship with.

The body remembers this.

Some days the dishes are too much.

Some days responding to texts feels impossible.
