No passado sábado foi inaugurada a exposição Museu das Expectativas da autoria do artista @pedro_gomes_art , para a qual tive a honra de desenvolver a identidade visual.

Do conceito gráfico aos suportes físicos e digitais, acompanhei todo o processo de produção, incluindo a impressão e implementação dos materiais no espaço expositivo.

There is something in Baudelaire’s words that resonates with my own relationship with art and illness: the possibility of transforming what is imposed upon us into a medium for artistic creation.

Twelve used insulin pens, arranged around a glucose sensor. Objects that are part of my everyday existence, carrying within them a succession of gestures, decisions, and moments of survival.

By partially covering them in white, I seek to preserve the traces of their use while questioning the relationship between the body, technology, and the passage of time. by @nic_fab

Museu das Expectativas, Pedro Gomes constrói um espaço entre desejos, pensamentos e emoções, onde corpo, arquitetura, memória e representação se cruzam.

Na Ermida de São Roque, em Tavira, a exposição ocupa a nave como uma única instalação, articulando pintura, tecidos, padrões, estruturas museográficas e materiais do quotidiano.

Entre o ornamento, a memória individual e o imaginário coletivo, o percurso propõe uma experiência simultaneamente física e visual, marcada por tensão, estranheza e prazer.

Como escreve João Silvério (@emptycube_reader) no texto curatorial, trata-se de “um projeto e uma expectativa de um museu entre a memória individual e a história do imaginário coletivo.”

When we revisit our own archive with the distance of time, there is a moment of strangeness and wonder. We can finally see the clarity of a vision that our internal self-saboteur so often tried to hide or belittle.

There are projects that need to mature in the shadows to gain their true dimension. That is what happened with the series NADA.

In the depths of an abandoned space, I sought to interpret who we are and what, ultimately, the act of artistic creation is. In this project, ruin and oblivion cease to be the end. Abandonment becomes raw material, emptiness becomes a stage, and Nothing reveals itself as the only space where everything can be built.

This week was dedicated to the process: testing, revisiting, refining, and finding new paths.

Ideas are built from what we read, what we observe, and what we investigate with time and rigor. That is where they gain consistency and intention.

For that reason, what matters is to understand and respect that process.

Unfortunately not everything we see today presented as an idea comes from that place. by @nic_fab
