Our beloved @nickcobbett has decided, in protest of the war, to journey on this tour in covered wagon. While this is going to cause some complications we support our brother in his decision. Luckily he has already left for Morro Bay so we are guaranteed to have drums for @thesirenmorrobay but the other shows are less of a guarantee. We realize this may come as a shock to our fans but I implore you to look deeply into yourself and see how this may cause a spark within you to stir real, lasting change. So proud of @nickcobbett and wish him luck! See you in Morro Bay tomorrow ! Update: April fools!!! But please consider switching to covered wagon… and come to our shows by @nickcobbett

our debut album ‘songs for cyd’ is out in the great wide open and we’re having a party about it TONIGHT 5/14 @rickshawstop with our idols @animalprince_ and @ghostcoachband and i’m preparing to hug tackle each and every one of u i have big big wells of gratitude for the relentless kindness and support that my loved ones have poured into these sounds. most of these songs are about friendship and community, mostly written during the pandemic and it feels like a time capsule of longing for the kind of togetherness that these songs then in turn brought me. threading me and my love @nickcobbett closer and refracting light on his deep creativity, translating my acoustic picking into full band concepts to make my rock grrl dreams come true, coproducing, absolutely slamming drums, sipping negronis and holding my hand and heart through all of it. late late nights at the cabin and the yellow house with @kingdreammusic engineering, mixing, coproducing, shredding guitar solos and then referencing the lyrics word for word to make sure he’s harnessing the true meaning of the song. these tunes brought our dear @benjamonqueso fully into my heart. he wears a crop top better than any of us, holds the low end with such tenderness and curiosity and will out-bit you until the laughter hurts your bones. and so much gratitude and love for our inaugural bass player @trevorbahnson who named the band and truly bullied me into playing music nonstop for an entire summer until i built a sandcastle of confidence. very excited to cut the balloon strings of this record and let her float up and out there. give it a listen when you can, thank u thank u luv u xoxo brit 🖤 🎨 @matt__goff 📸 @dreamsdontcomeeasy taken in San Francisco, California by @nickcobbett

latest single from @hotbrotherlovesyou, and i think my favorite song @brit.pow has written. i love it so much that after the band recorded it live at @2200studios with @matty_mc_d i went and recorded it again with @ianpellicci over at @brotherschineserecording. it only took @lemmeadams one take after hearing the song once to dime the organ part. i required two sessions at some of the finest studios in the bay, but here we are. go give it a listen and lemme know where i should re-track the drums next! by @nickcobbett
