Well, I never... it’s happening! Fantastic Days: My Autobiography will be published on 5 November 2026 by New Modern.

Back in 1977 when some of us started pogoing without our sticks, I didn't think it was possible to get into the music business. Writing 'Fantastic Day' was the way in and I've never looked back until now. Holy cow. What a ride! Have I loved every minute of it? Find out.

Thank you to everyone who has been on board, everyone who has listened to the songs, bought the records, come to shows, sent messages, and shared memories over the years. I’m incredibly grateful.

“An artist never really knows who their music is reaching or how it’s affecting them. You simply create a song and put it out into the world. Just like a dandelion seed carried on the breeze—you never know where it might land; it has the potential to go anywhere.”

Lovely walk around Osaka today. Easing into place. The pace of this lovely city is nice and drifty. I can see why some photographers use lots of light. It feels light here. I felt like a hermit crab trying on a new shell for the season with no rhyme and little reason but to pop in and out. taken in Osaka, Japan by @nickheyward

Haircut 100 legend Nick Heyward has hailed the vital role the BBC has played in his career, and with uncertainty looming over the future funding of the corporation, UK Music Chief Executive Tom Kiehl highlights the inextricable link between the Beeb and music at the link in bio.

A great night at the Palladium seeing Joe Jackson, and catching up with two familiar faces in the band — @fournierfelipe and @dougyowell. Felipe played percussion with Haircut 100 on the Howard Jones tour and on Boxing the Compass, and Doug’s another old friend from the Howard camp. Brilliant musicians, brilliant show. Great also to chat with Les and @grahammaby about all things bass and beautiful. Lovely to see @thehowardjones, Jan and also @yenzlights. taken in London Palladium Theatre by @nickheyward
