You’ve probably heard of the British band Haircut One Hundred, which had a short but brilliant run in the early 1980s. But you may not have heard this B-side from their third single, “Fantastic Day,” especially the 12” version. “Ski Club of Great Britain” is a great example of the band’s new wave meets hot club style, complimented by a horn section. It’s totally infectious and just GROOVES. Their debut album, Pelican West, continues to be an album I put on the turntable and never tire of hearing. One of my bucket list concerts finally came to pass when four original members reunited to tour the USA last year and I got to see them in Kansas City. 🙏 Get clipped! 昨日も仕事をなんとか打ち切って 大阪ビルボードへ ニックヘイワードのライヴを観に 行って来ました🎸 ヘアカットの新作も出たので期待してたんですが 今回もソロ名義(バンドセット)での来日 写真も動画も節度の有る範囲で許可が出てたので 演奏🎶を撮る事が出来ましたが、やっぱり 生で👀に焼き付けたいので🤳は苦手だなぁ。 内容は聴きたかった曲はほぼやって下さって シンガロングする事が出来ました🎙️ 大満足👏 その若々しい体型維持された容姿にも 惚れ惚れ😙ただ今回は物販もサイン会も無し (物販が少しでもあれば凄く嬉しいのに😔) でも、新しいソロアルバムのリリースも決まってると 仰ってたし またの来日を楽しみに待ちたいと思います。 「From Monday to Sunday」余韻で今週も残り乗り切ります。 #NickHeyward #FromMondaytoSunday 1993 LP #HaircutOneHundred #ニックヘイワード #ヘアカット100
