That's a wrap on @nabshow 2026! 🎬

This was my first public show back. Walking. Nothing could have prepared me for the running hugs. I was overwhelmed in the best, most beautiful way. This industry has my whole heart.

And I came back with a new title. On April 1st, I joined @pugetsystems as Head of Media Production. My very first assignment? Lead the Run of Show for The Puget Experience, their largest booth activation in company history. Our Marketing Team, led by @uwericbrown & @themariarosero was extraordinary. Together we produced 15 sessions with @corridordigital @formstudios @proart @nvidiastudio @amd @pnytechnologies @door_g_studio @district_cinema @beeble_ai & @galsngear ✨️ Form Studios built a Gaussian Splat of the Corridor Digital studio, Maria sourced an identical iconic couch for the stage, and we produced Corridor Crew's first-ever "VFX Artists React" LIVE at #NABShow 🤯 The booth was packed all week. We killed it.

After a year of work, the NAB Creator Council launched the VIP Creator Program, a real step toward giving creators the access and support long established for radio and TV. Thank you to NAB for entrusting us — @shiralazar @twkeyes

None of this compares to the joy of simply reconnecting with the colleagues and friends I've been building with since 2018. That part never gets old.

This show has always been special to me. And I have my dad to thank for taking me to my very first NAB Show in 2010. I miss him every single day. He had a vision that I would speak at NAB one day. I'm certain he also knew it wouldn't be just one stage, but many. And many more to come.

One year ago today, I cheated death.

A head-on, 4-car collision I don't remember the moment of — just waking up in a hospital bed, foot in a cast, hand in a cast, a seatbelt gash across my waist, and restraints on my wrists because apparently I came in swinging and swearing like a sailor. I have zero memory of that. But honestly? That woman was fighting to live, and I respect her for it.

The questions that flood you in those first moments are ones I never expected to face so soon: Did I do everything I could while I had the best of my abilities intact? What would life look like if I had to walk away from everything I built? Could I start over?

The answer — after a year of stillness I didn't choose but desperately needed — is yes. I could. And I did.

What I didn't fully see until later was that this wasn't just my trauma. My husband was on the phone with me when it happened. He heard me scream. Then silence. He didn't know where I was, or if I was alive. The fact that friends, family, and his partners rallied to locate me at the hospital before I even regained consciousness — that kind of collective love is something I'll spend the rest of my life being grateful for.

Don carried me. Literally. Up and down stairs. In and out of the shower. He took "in sickness and in health" to a level neither of us imagined when we said it. He is my rock, and today we're taking the day off together to mark how far we've come.

I also learned quickly who my people are. The ones who showed up — at my door, on my phone, with food, with hugs, with presence. And I quietly let go of the relationships that made me feel more like a product than a person.

I am one year into my second life. I know who I am. I know what matters. And I am so, so grateful to be here. 🖤

When our 20-year reunion plans finally make it out of the Facebook group.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure I wanted the world knowing how old this makes me. But after surviving a near-death experience last year, I am just grateful to be the age that I am. Grateful for every year after. Grateful for the ability to see these faces again and to have had the chance to help plan this (even though I said I was done after our 10-year 🤣).

We've all gone on our own journeys since senior year. But there was something so full circle about our class getting scattered across the country and still finding a way back to the same place.

Never take time or people for granted.

To our planning committee (Tiffany, David, Hana, Sol, Kunal), thank you for turning our Facebook polls into something we'll all remember.

Let's not wait another decade to do this again!

I just hit 25,000 subscribers on YouTube 🎉

I've built my career without chasing follower counts or vanity metrics. I create because I have something to say, not because an algorithm rewards it.

People often assume that if you're not hitting a certain number by a certain point, something's wrong. I'd push back on that. Growth isn't linear, and the moments that don't look like "success" from the outside are often the ones that shape the work most.

If you're building something right now, whether that's a channel, a business, or a body of work, and it doesn't look the way you expected yet, that's not a sign to stop. Keep going.

You got this!

SIGGRAPH 2026, Way-mo memories than photos could ever capture. 🤣🫶

Since joining Puget Systems in April, this industry has handed me one of the most rewarding chapters of my career, and this trip was proof of it. We're not just showing up at tradeshows anymore. We're building experiences and using them as a platform to showcase and amplify the incredible partners we work with. Getting to work alongside partners like Form Studios, District Cinema, Beeble AI, Corridor Digital, and Mike Pecci – people we've built relationships with over the years and not just for a single activation – is what makes this work feel different. Getting to combine every part of my background alongside some of the most creative and genuine people I've met, is not something I take for granted.

My first SIGGRAPH wasn't just about the booth. It was a week of burgers, Korean BBQ, karaoke at Brass Monkey (thanks for the rec Jessie!), and turning Waymo into a week-long dad joke ("way-mo fun," "way-mo better"... it stuck).

Puget also sponsored two post-show mixers (Society of Game Cinematics + postPerspective), and meeting more and more women in virtual production, animation, and technical art was wild. I remember being one of the only women in the room at tech conventions years ago. Now women aren't just present, they're leading. That shift is everything.

My co-workers are way-mo better than yours. Don't @ me. 😌

InfoComm 2026, you were a whole vibe! ✨️

This year, I had the privilege of attending in a few different capacities at once: as a woman in tech, as CEO of Nicki Sun Media, and as Head of Media Production at @pugetsystems (while our team was also at @unrealengine fest in Chicago simultaneously). Two shows, one mission: showing up fully and helping move our industry forward.

Highlights on repeat in my head:
✨️ Speaking on the Women Without Boundaries: The Power of the Pivot panel alongside @adbrandbuzz @cherylottenritter @heathercgy
✨️ Getting to be a big sis mentor to @galsngear students @702.veah @maddiie.l @sachaaflynn @longlivelo_
✨️ Hearing from women at the forefront of immersive technology: @megapixelvr @addyroseme @abbideleve @pixera.one @avstumpfl @telstra
✨️ Building relationships with the @onediversified and @avixagram team, who made this experience feel less like a conference and more like a community
✨️ Walking the floor and seeing innovation in ProAV tools and gear, alongside a real, intentional nod to creators within the industry
✨️ AND a puppy adoption play pen that may have single-handedly related every nervous system within a 10 foot radius (no tradeshow will ever top this)

There is something so special about being in rooms with more women in ProAV, watching the next generation ask incredible questions, and getting to amplify voices both in front and behind the camera.
