This is my first @sxsw - and I absolutely LOVED it! Thank you to all the organizers for having me as a speaker. Especially to @jerrywon and @justins_posts, the mvps of @alwaysbecreating.xyz ☝️

Taking in the festival and the allure of Austin, you can’t help but come alive as @chance.s.emerson ‘s music wisps through the streets or ticket holders buzz with anticipation to see a film like @didithemovie (shout out to @goldhouseco ).

For me, I loved running into old friends and making new ones in a place where striking up friendly conversation with a stranger is the norm.

What inspired me the most is seeing so much possibility not just for myself but for others too - whether it’s for the talent I work with or entrepreneurs I invest in or the customers I serve or teams I empower - I see a space they can thrive in too.

Exploring with one of my bffs @nickisun made it even more fun! So the question is, who’s in for 2025?

OH and by the way, as much as I was feelin myself the morning of my panel, God humbled me real quick as I spilt two full cups of coffee all over the JW Marriott marble floor. The universe works in brilliant ways 😅
So anyway yah, shall we all go to SXSW next year!?

It’s such an honor for me to be nominated as one and of the top 5 entrepreneurs during the ATX Indonesia Program.

I had the incredible opportunity to attend @sxsw and encountered numerous inspiring moments that have furthered my learning and personal growth.
I connected with many exceptional founders, entrepreneurs, influencers, and inspirational figures.

I’m deeply grateful to @usembassyjkt for sponsoring my attendance at SXSW and I’m also thankful to my mentors, @aimeelreed and @garyforthewin , for their guidance and support on this journey.

Just like the UT slogan, “What starts here changes the world,” I am proud to say that as a student just months ago, I came to Austin to learn. Now, returning with a different title and purpose

A miraculous feeling to see a friend’s vision come to life–from idea to script to fruition. So proud to have been a co-producer on @level4alpha’s newest project. Kevyn brought together a stellar cast/crew that made the shoot day feel effortless; endless talent spurned on by endless kindness, (with endless laughs to boot). So fucking proud of you, Kevyn. And so grateful to have met such incredible people. Here’s to many more!

Thank you to my amazing friends who came together yesterday to watch FIVE BLIND DATES! We had a watch party in LA and my sister organized a watch party in Brisbane on the same day! Couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to celebrate this day with! Thank you, @iseechrisd and @jess_mastro for organizing the screening… And thank you to everyone for all your kind messages over the last few days. I’m so touched that so many of you have resonated with this film… it’s inspired me to keep making more!! ♥️

My first unboxing ASMR for Premiere Gal's custom Editors Key.

This is great for all my editing shortcuts so I can focus on producing more content.

THANK YOU @premiere_gal and @nickisun for sending me this @editorskeys. Make sure you follow them and check out their channel.

P.S. I had my phone in one hand so it was not ideal set up to film.

2023 was a shift in my career as an independent journalist.
I moved from part time to full time MEDIA MAYA.
I moved from Bermuda to Toronto.
I moved from imposter syndrome to confidence.

I want to share more. Show you how I make things work. Hopefully encourage more young journalists in this space. So if you have questions, message me. If you have advice - I’ll listen. If you want feedback - I’ll share it.

I feel uniquely placed in this generation. When I entered university hoping to write articles for sports networks to being in the space of the growing empire of social media, learning as it all developed, adapting as the world shifted and proving I can keep up with change - and set the trend.

(Link to each story is in my stories)

How do you like to receive your news? Reading, watching? Listening? Which platform?

Tell me in the comments.
