silent green präsentiert: Andrea Pensado (@andrea.c.pensado) arbeitet mit Stimme und hybrider Elektronik. Mit der traditionellen baschkirischen Flöte Quray, elektroakustischen Verfahren und computergestützten Musiktechnologien untersucht HMOT, wie Hören Identität, Erinnerung und kulturelles Erbe prägt. // bela (@6_e_l_a) lebt zwischen Berlin und Prag und setzt gutturale Stimme und elektronische Rückkopplungen ein, um Textur und Resonanz zu erzeugen. Psychic Liberation Night: Horse Lords + Audrey Chen & Nick Klein [18.11.]:
silent green präsentiert: Horse Lords (@horselords) sind ein Quartett aus Baltimore, das seit 2010 repetitive Strukturen, mikrotonale Gitarren und verzahnte Percussion zu etwas verbindet, das gleichzeitig archaisch und präzise klingt – beeinflusst von Henry Flynt bis James Brown, von islamischen Mustern bis Kuwaiti Sawt. Für ihr jüngstes Album auf RVNG Intl. haben sie das Quartett um Klarinette, Posaune und Gesang erweitert. // Die Arbeit von Audrey Chen (@audrey.isabel.chen) und Nick Klein (@nickklein____) entfaltet sich als katalytische Improvisationsübungen im Spannungsfeld extremer klanglicher Gegensätze, wobei sie mit Verbindungslinien zwischen organischem und anorganischem Klangmaterial und dessen Dynamiken spielen. silent green presents: Horse Lords (@horselords) are a Baltimore quartet that since 2010 has woven repetitive structures, microtonal guitars, and interlocking percussion into something simultaneously archaic and precise – drawing from Henry Flynt to James Brown, Islamic geometry to Kuwaiti Sawt. For their latest album on RVNG Intl., they expanded the quartet with clarinet, trombone, and vocalists. // The work of Audrey Chen (@audrey.isabel.chen) and Nick Klein (@nickklein____) is that of catalytic improvisation exercises in sound at its extreme counterpoints, playing with through lines between organic and inorganic sonic material and dynamics. Chen and Klein have performed in various venues such as Amsterdam's OCCII, Berlin's Volksbühne Roter Salon, and Gothenburg's Folkteater. In 2026, the duo are slated for LP releases coming out through United States imprint Enmossed, as well as Sweden's IDEAL Recordings.

Today I am 39 years old. To celebrate I have done a big digital drop of releases on PL that I am extremely excited to host. They have simply reinvigorated me. I have also included two new albums of my own in the series .

On 24th October, Sonitus and o_u will present four Czech premieres. This time, Nox Sonituum will be noisy, challenging and confrontational.

~ Nick Klein
You might encounter the works of multidisciplinary artist Nick Klein in a gallery just as easily as in a rowdy club; he is also an active curator in the Berlin scene and the head of the excellent PL (Psychic Liberation, etc.) label. His musical output ranges from sound art to noise techno; recently, his live sets have tended towards sheer hellish soundscapes. One unifying element of his approach might be the willingness to make it sound raw: Klein does not smooth out the rough edges, and listeners are exposed to harsh sounds and structures. It is quite easy to form an addiction.

~ Concentration
Ranging from industrial punk to psychotic cabaret, sardonic, horny, angry: that’s Concentration, the Berlin/Melbourne offshoot of the Avon Terror Corps collective. Not taking anything from their records, it’s their live performances (including the one that took Unsound 2024 by storm) for which they are particularly renowned. All bets are off at their gigs, but it’s probably safe to say they’re slightly obscene, very anarchic – and extremely entertaining.

~ Tzu Ni
The work of Taiwanese artist Tzu Ni encompasses not only experimental electronics but also field recordings and installations. Her albums showcase fragmented, unstable structures straddling the line between sound art and noise: a quasi-organic growth that can mutate into something both beautiful and terrifying. Of course, these characteristics are not mutually exclusive.

~ Kutin & Nerve
Both Peter Kutin and Steve Hui (aka Nerve) revel in disjointed electronic compositions. The former works with sound in the context of light or sculpture; he is also involved, for example, in the trio PLF with Elvin Brandhi and Lukas König. Hui is a key figure in the Hong Kong experimental scene; his work fuses contemporary composition with rave, creating unsightly yet thrilling hybrids. Together, Nerve and Kutin do not play noise per se, but their frenzied energy often surpasses its intensity.

“Can’t Be A Candle” for @saras.worldwide at @thesalon.paris for @newartdealers X @thecommunityparis .

SARA’S is thrilled to participate in The Salon, Booth 0.9, with a solo presentation, Can’t Be A Candle, by multi-disciplinary artist Nick Klein. This will be the artist’s second major showing with the gallery.

Can’t Be A Candle is comprised of photographic prints, paintings, photocopies, and audio pulled from Klein’s work focusing on “ecstatic obligatory production.” Whether in the isolation of a hermetic studio practice or the social engagement of a global touring regimen, Klein focuses on blending and obscuring disciplines to coalesce new formal outcomes, seeding a productive antagonism throughout his wide-ranging creative output.

On Sunday, October 20, we will present Can’t Be A Candle: Action One, a performance to accompany the artist’s presentation. Since 2008, Klein’s work has been rooted in the elementally creative acts of performing sound and sound adjacent gestures. Over time, his interest in blending disciplines have allowed the edges of this practice to soften and encompass a wider range of performance contexts—which he explores in staged settings of varying scale and intimacy.
