POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A baroque dream scape of creation, play, art direction, and still-life magic.

So thankful that I got to pull these ideas from my brain into reality. It's been years since I designed for myself- in collab @darcybenincosa for her England workshop- I had the space to fully play from my own POV, desire, and dreams.

Also- love that D'Arcy is just as in love with beautiful things-- all the props and vessels are from our own private collections of antiques! by @nicolechapmandesign

NCD named one of the Top 20 Florists in the United States this year.

Honored. Grounded. Grateful.

Every stem, every installation, every wedding, every couple I’ve designed for — you are woven into this.

This work is more than flowers.
It’s ritual.
It’s storytelling.

Thank you for seeing me, for trusting me, and for letting me create art that breathes.

Thank you WedVibes for the recognition of the 20 years of floral devotion. by @nicolechapmandesign

Detailaholics and proud to be!

The details matter, but only when they make sense for the couple at the center of it all.

Every choice for this day came back to our couple, their style, and how they wanted the day to feel 🤍

One thing 1,500+ events a year has taught us? A strong point of view doesn’t mean every element has to say the same thing.

This styled shoot leaned Western without taking it too literally. Swipe through for a few of the details that made it work. →

Venue: RMR, @lelieugroup
Event Designer: @makenzyberglunddesign
Floral Design: @nicolechapmandesign
Photographer: @rachelwakefield
Rentals: @archiverentals
Stationary: @courtneykibbydesigns
Hat Trailer: @eanddhatco.com
Golf Cart Rental: @ojaigolfcartrental
Makeup: @courtneylaurenbeauty
Hair: @_lovelaurarocha
Content Creation: @socialvow
Wedding Dresses: @e.a.bridal

Start With Contrast.

Rustic surroundings paired with a more refined table keep either one from feeling too expected.

Reference, Don’t Replicate.

A bolo detail can say “Western” without every element needing to.

Use What’s Already There.

Sometimes the most interesting design element wasn’t brought in at all.

Let Some Things Feel Undone.

Loose, sculptural florals soften the cleaner lines and polished details around them.

Know When To Quiet Things Down.

Clean silhouettes and soft upholstery give the bolder details somewhere to stand out.

Cohesive ≠ Matching.

Different materials, shapes and textures can still speak the same design language.

Mix Your Materials.

Warm wood. Matte black. Aged brass. Crisp white. The contrast is what makes it interesting.

The Takeway?

The best way to commit to an aesthetic isn’t always adding more. Sometimes, it’s knowing exactly where to pull back. taken in Ojai Valley, California by @nicolechapmandesign

Never underestimate the power of food as art-- build dreamscapes around it. Indulge in the decadence.

The way food's presented shapes how we anticipate, appreciate, and remember the land, time and space we're in.

Thoughtful styling isn't about making something perfect; it's about honoring the artistry and intention behind every dish. Because food is it's own story, and it deserves to be treated that way. by @nicolechapmandesign
