Some celebrations are designed. This one feels grown. The color, the light, and the laughter all arrived on the same unhurried afternoon. Deep red and meadow green along long tables, earth-toned linens softening every edge, white lanterns glowing above dark wood. It is a palette that settles into the garden rather than competing with it — quiet, but never cold. And then, as evening arrives, that stillness begins to move. Glasses lift, conversations lean closer, and the composed arrangement turns into something alive. The prettiest detail is never the centerpiece. It is how full the room feels by the last song. A website for an artist shouldn’t feel like a container for the work. It should become part of the work. For @nicolechapmandesign that meant treating the screen more like an installation. Images overlap. Typography shifts dramatically in scale. Torn edges interrupt clean lines. Handwritten notes move through the pages like Nicole herself has been there, marking things up as you go. There are moments that demand your attention, followed by quieter ones that let your eyes linger. So we built a website that does the same. From the archives. 2024.

Some projects leave the studio and somehow never really leave your brain. @nicolechapmandesign is one of those. Nicole is a visionary, a tastemaker and an artist with a very specific way of seeing. Florals are her medium, but feeling is the thing she’s actually designing. That became our thread through everything. The brand. The copy. The website. Every piece was built around contrast, seduction, texture and the idea that beauty gets infinitely more interesting when there’s a little tension underneath it. Nothing simply placed because it looked nice. Nothing polished until all the personality disappeared. Dripping with intention and meaning. We pulled this one from the archives because, years later, we still look at it and feel something. Which was kind of the whole point. 😉

From the archives, but impossible to forget. Nicole Chapman came to us in 2024 with the kind of work that already makes you stop and stare. She didn’t need a brand to make her interesting. She needed one capable of keeping up. So we built an identity around the tension already living inside her work. Masculine structure and feminine softness. Warmth and coolness. Restraint interrupted by something a little wild. Sharp typography meets Nicole’s own(!) handwriting. Earthy, unexpected color. Layers on layers on layers upon texture on texture on texture. A brand for a floral designer who was never really interested in just making things pretty. She makes art, dripping with intention. And the brand needed to feel like it, too. @nicolechapmandesign #websitedesign #branding #floralbranding #copywriting
