#PEPTOBERday19 QUOTE: “no one’s too good to share a quote”

Sustainability and (more) ethical consumption is really important to me. I recently googled “how rich am I globally?” because you hear a lot of talk about the 1% (that’s not me! lol) and I was curious to see where I fit into the world picture. The result was interesting and it made me think again about how big an impact people in “more developed” countries have on the planet and the responsibility that comes with that. I don’t think it’s possible to live in the “Global North” (almost no matter where on the economic scale because everyone in it is part of a globally damaging system) without having a negative impact on someone somewhere and/or on the Earth in some way…
BUT I also think we can use the resources and riches at our disposal to do a lot of good too — to be regenerative.

Hope that wasn’t a downer! Let’s all go out into the world and actively look for ways to do good, friends 🌿💖

I feel like @andyjpizza’s Peptober is the fun daily creative beginning-of-autumn challenge that I didn’t know I was looking for which will allow me to share some insight on more of my process rather than just final images all the time and maybe allow me to get to know you all a little better along the way too. I’m working on a lot of very cool and exciting things at the moment but, as they’re all longer term projects, I can’t really post much about any of it just yet (and Instagram hasn’t been my fav for a long time now anyway…haha). SO, I thought it might be worth reminding you that I post (irregularly) on my free Patreon newsletter and (at least) monthly on the paid tier. The latter features artwork or reviews of books relating to art or discussions about creative days out visiting galleries and museums and such.
That said, I should have a lot to post about at some point so do still keep an eye on this space! :)

Publication is set for 2028; Jessica Mileo at InkWell Management represented the author, and Chad W. I’m usually pretty averse to reading reviews (they can be so savage!😂) but when I’m feeling down, this one that I came across for RODEO HAWKINS AND THE DAUGHTERS OF MAYHEM (written by the brilliant @johnclaudebemis!) really gives me a giggle and is such a wonderful reminder of why I do what I do, and for whom.
