She’s been in a calorie deficit for months. She works out 5x a week. She cut out gluten, dairy, and sugar. And she’s still gaining weight, still bloated, still puffy — and completely defeated.

👀That’s a body that’s been running on empty for so long it stopped responding.

🌱This is what I hear from almost every woman who comes to me. She’s not lazy. She’s not inconsistent. She’s exhausted from trying so hard and getting nowhere — and she’s starting to believe her body is just broken.

What’s actually happening: her cortisol is dysregulated, her gut is inflamed, her minerals are depleted, and her hormones are trying to compensate for all of it. No amount of clean eating fixes that without first understanding what’s driving it.

When we work together, we find the actual root cause — through functional lab testing — and build a protocol around her body specifically.

🥳What my clients experience: the bloat they’ve had for years clears up. The scale starts moving again. The puffiness goes down. They stop feeling like they’re fighting themselves every single day.

Your body isn’t the enemy. It’s been asking for the right support — you just haven’t had someone show you what that looks like yet.

💬 DM me READY and let’s figure out what’s actually going on.

CAN YOU RELATE —> Have you ever made an excuse as to why you couldn’t go out or changed your mind a million times about going out because you couldn’t find anything comfortable to wear due to bloating !?

Or made an excuse as to why you had to leave somewhere because you felt a sudden onset of IBS?

I’ve been there

It’s a struggle

It’s exhausting

It’s anxiety

It’s emotionally painful

Enough was enough ✋

It was time to get my energy back, to get my life back! The only thing I lost out on was time - time trying to figure it out on my own.

Nobody told me coming off h0rmonal birth c0ntrol could feel worse than being on it.

I expected my “real” cycle back. Instead I got exhaustion that coffee couldn’t touch and painful cystic breakouts along my jaw and chin.

Here’s what I wish I’d known in advance 👇

✨ The pill can deplete key nutrients over time, like zinc, magnesium, and B vitamins. Zinc in particular plays a big role in skin healing and keeping oil production in check.

✨ When you stop, your body has to restart its own hormone production. A temporary androgen rebound is common, and that’s often where the jawline acne comes from.

✨ Your liver and gut do the heavy lifting of clearing used hormones. If they’re sluggish, you feel it in your skin and your energy.

✨ Blood sugar matters more than you think. Skipping breakfast and running on caffeine can make both fatigue and breakouts worse.

✨ You don’t have to guess. Functional testing like HTMA and GI-MAP can show what’s actually depleted or out of balance so you’re not throwing random supplements at the problem.

If you’ve been putting everyone else first and quietly dealing with this on your own, this is your sign to finally prioritize you.

Comment “ROOT” and I’ll send you my free masterclass, The Root Cause Blueprint 🤍

If I had listened to everyone else’s fear, I wouldn’t be where I am today and would have never experienced the things I have…

When people tell you not to do something, it’s usually not because they think you can’t. It’s because they know they couldn’t. So they hand their fear to you.

“You’ll never make it as a personal trainer in a small town.”

“You’ll never afford to live in the city.”

“You’ll never be able to travel like that.”

✅ I did all of it.

If I’d listened, I never would have become a trainer. Which means I never would have become an Integrative Health Practitioner. Which means I never would have helped hundreds of women take their health back.

I never would have left my hometown. Never would have booked that spontaneous trip to LA, or traveled through Europe and Costa Rica.

And I never would have gained a sister. One of my best friends became my roommate, and somewhere along the way she became family. That only happened because I let someone in closer than the world tells us we’re supposed to these days.

But I won’t pretend it was easy.

There were nights I cried myself to sleep. There were times I was genuinely scared. There were moments I had no idea what my next move was going to be.

And every single time, I figured it out.

That’s what builds real confidence. Not the wins, but the proof that no matter what happens, you’ll find your way through. It creates a kind of safety inside you that no place, person, or circumstance can take away.

Now if opportunity doesn’t show up fast enough, I go find it. I ask the questions. I introduce myself. I put myself in rooms that stretch me, because that’s the only way I sleep at night: knowing I showed up the way I want to.

You’re capable of so much more than you’ve been told. The real question is what you’re willing to trade for it.

Maybe it’s nights out drinking. Maybe it’s late-night scrolling so you can be up early for the gym. Maybe it’s pizza night, or a trip you skip this year because you’re investing in your health or your business.

Letting go of what’s no longer serving you is scary too. But staying exactly where you are is scarier. 🙏 taken in Nova Scotia by @nicoletwellness

Raw veggies are harder to break down. When your digestion is struggling (bloating, gas, low stomach acid, heaviness after meals, undigested food in your stool), a big bowl of raw greens can make symptoms worse, not better. It’s not that salads are “bad.” It’s that your gut has to be ready for them.

So the real question isn’t “are salads healthy?” It’s “what state is my digestion in right now?”

🥗 If digestion feels strong: raw foods can be a great source of fibre, enzymes, and hydration.

🍲 If digestion feels off: lean on cooked foods. Steamed, roasted, sautéed, or in soups and stews. Cooking does some of the breaking down for you.

Seasons matter too 🍂
☀️ Warm months: lighter, raw, cooling foods tend to feel better. This salad was a hot-day lunch.

❄️ Cold months: your body usually does better with warm, cooked, grounding meals. Think roasted root veggies, soups, slow-cooked proteins.

Easy ways to switch it up:
• Swap raw greens for sautéed spinach or kale
• Roast your peppers, zucchini, and carrots instead of slicing them raw
• Turn your salad into a warm bowl with cooked grains or protein
• If you do eat raw, have it midday when digestion is strongest, keep the portion smaller, and chew really well
• Add warming spices like ginger, cumin, or cinnamon as the weather cools

As we head into fall, this is your sign to start warming up your plate.

If you’re doing “all the right things” and still feel bloated and stuck, it’s time to look at the root cause. DM me “GUT” or visit nicolethibeault.com to work with me 💛
