Lesson 18: BOOTS! I have heel height adjustable feet by @ossur and they are amazing! But getting them into boots can be tough so try to find boots that have a zipper and no slip bottoms! I find that block heel boots are the easiest of all heels to walk in!

I made a choice 11 years ago, I could either live in misery or simply just live, I chose to LIVE.

That choice brought me here, to the Hanger Clinic Integrated Care Center in Chicago with @wremi76 and a team of skilled compassionate people who fit me with my first pair of running blades.

I never wanted to be an athlete, my goal was to get my life back. I’ve worked so hard in this body to be able to achieve this level of Prosthetic use. I have no plans to run a marathon or even a 5K for that matter. I just wanted the freedom to be able to move my body, in all the ways that I deserve, running included.

MOVEMENT IS A RIGHT NOT A LUXURY.

Heading into 11 years alive this weekend, June 28th, and it has honestly taken me all 11years to realize the human I am, and the value I bring by just existing. I still get nervous to post stuff like this, but you know what, I don’t care, bc I connect with this song sooo much! Thank you @oliviadeano for helping me see myself through your music, one of my favorite ways to heal.
