Still building. Still smiling. The work shows in the details not the noise. #privilegedsociety by @niddygritty

I’ve always been more interested in what people feel than what they see.

The music.
The lighting.
The energy at the table.
The conversation the next day.

Whether it was restaurants, nightlife, media, or cultural experiences, the work has always centered around creating environments people remember long after they leave them.

Different rooms. Same philosophy.

The Niddy archives, chapter one.

Cork n’ Slice was more than a restaurant.
It was the first full expression of how I think about space, emotion, taste, and community.

What started as “fine casual” in the Central West End was really the beginning of my obsession with how people feel inside a space.

Looking back, hospitality was never separate from the work. It was a first chapter of the same story I’m still writing now.

From building the menu with intention to shaping the room, the patio, the media story, and the neighborhood energy, this was true passion. Lobster Pizza was a hit!

Looking back, I wasn’t just opening a restaurant.
I was learning how culture moves through a room. by @niddygritty

Honored to serve on the Dinner Committee for the 39th Annual Salute to Excellence in Education Scholarship & Awards Gala.

This institution and its commitment to education, leadership, and the future of our city have meant something to me personally, so being asked to help carry that work forward means a great deal.

Let’s talk about it!

I went to Hush Day Party @hush.stl last Sunday, August 23, at HG Events Downtown, and I have to give credit where it’s due. I see the vision, and I love what they’re bringing to STL nightlife.

From the moment I walked in, I loved the setup. It was clean, chic, elevated, and intentional. The greenery, lounge seating, lighting, and décor all flowed together. There was an actual concept behind it.

But what really got me was when the music switched up.

For a portion of the party, the genre changed, the energy shifted, guests had sparklers, and the whole atmosphere became something different.

Baby, it was giving STL meets Mykonos, and I loved it. I want to see more of that. Play music that fits the theme and vibe. Give us some versatility. Introduce people to sounds they may not normally hear when they go out in STL. It won’t hurt us to step outside of our usual rotation for an hour. #CC by @niddygritty
