Meet Monique, one of the child health nurses who visits some of our Nido Early Schools each month!

She checks in on the children's growth, chats to families about sleep, and runs parenting workshops on things like attachment and tantrums.

Mostly she's just here to get to know our families and support them through the early years. Because no one should have to work out those early years alone ❤️

Every one of these clips is a lesson in progress 💭

What starts as a story can quickly become an adventure 🌳🪵

Recently, the children from Nido Wembley explored the Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre, where books, nature, creativity and curiosity came together!

By observing the environment around them, they discovered local wildlife around the lake and touched natural materials and plants like eucalyptus leaves and paper-bark trees.

We always encourage the children's interests and give them the time to observe, explore and investigate. Experiences like these help deepen their understanding of the world around them while keeping curiosity at the centre of the learning journey! 🌱

Last week we came together for the official Opening Ceremony for Nido Early School Henley Brook. We were joined by Noongar cultural educator Cyril Yarran for a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, alongside the wonderful @tanialawrencemp Federal Member for Hasluck. Thank you for taking the time to visit and share stories with our Nido team and local community! ✨

It was a beautiful opportunity to acknowledge the land, celebrate the people who helped bring Henley Brook to life, and mark the beginning of a new chapter for the children and families who will make these spaces their own.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a special evening. We can’t wait to see the Nido Henley Brook community continue to grow! 🪴

Is play‑based learning even a thing for babies at childcare, or are we all secretly stressing about whether our six‑month‑olds need a “program” when they’re still figuring out where their toes are?
