I KNEW in 7 months.

When I asked in November, you replied “I would absolutely marry you.”

I cannot imagine my life without you.
I decided to follow my heart and my head in choosing you.

I co-washed my hair with @patternbeauty a little over a week ago and while styling it as a wash and go for work, I thought about a natural hair compliment I received during my last braiding experience with @dalliewood 🥰

I was sharing to her in salon suite conversation, how I had unpacked + unlearned my hair trauma from my upbringing and I’ve started to embrace and love my 4c hair 🥹

She replied, “I love your hair! I love the spongey texture. I love working with this hair type.”

Hearing her say that made me feel good THEN but it feels even better NOW ☺️
Now when prepping my natural hair I view it as spongey 🤭😂 🧽

#FitnessFriday -

I’m two days late sharing this post but I wanted to show you guys my weight loss progress after locking in for a year 💪🏽

Prior to last September, I put matter above mindset and I lagged with drinking, eating and exercising.
[ then I had the NERVE to be confused I wasn’t losing weight 🤭 ]

But last September I gave myself a pep talk to really lock in 🔒

[ I know it’s possible for me to maintain a nice body because I have for years.
This reminder to myself gave me the push to get started AND maintain - it was HARD 😪 ]

🔑 :
I started…

▪️SHOWING UP MORE, three days a week weren’t enough to see my body change the way I wanted, so I added a day; some weeks I added two 🔥

▪️ I stopped eating whatever I wanted when I wanted 😂😋
[ I started portion control; being mindful of what I’m eating and how much ]

▪️ I retired being a Martini Mami 🍸
[ that sugar was making a home in my abdomen 🏠 - kept me fluffy 😩 ]

Now voila 🪄

Late post ⏳

August wrapped up my personal music tour 🎶
I’ve attended at least five concerts this year.

This same year I battled high functioning depression and music was a therapy I NEEDED 💆🏽‍♀️
Music grounded me until grass did 🌳

Music vibrations are REAL 💥
I do NOT ingest low vibrational music 🙅🏽‍♀️

Here’s a flashback of me enjoying another solo concert 🙋🏽‍♀️

I REALLY enjoy @neyo as a singer, songwriter and performer.
I knew I had to be in the audience for this and his mic was ON! 🎤

I also enjoyed @akon and learned through a game they played on stage that they’ve both written / produced songs we love!
They both wrote for @beyonce. How cool! 😎

I was previously unaware of Akon’s pen, shoutout to him! 🖊️

These two artists brought together a very diverse audience of love and support.
