Enhancing the representation of dark skinned black women in the media while working with empowering & inclusive brands. Founded by @chanellej.holder

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We're ready to change the world.
Dark Skinned Kinky Haired Black Women are often presented as overly stereotyped characters where we are victims of social injustice and in all black casts. Night Mist Production's mission is to give Dark Skinned Kinky Haired Black Women opportunities to tell their unique stories as leads within multiracial casts. We want to give Dark Skinned Kinky Haired Black Women opportunities to play lead roles that are commonly given to white or mixed race black women. You can be a part of this movement by donating to our short film production. Link in bio to learn more.

We had the awesome opportunity to produce this behind the scenes video podcast for @hot_republic a few weeks ago at the coolest new venue @vesper.lounge. The team did a phenomenal job! We were up against loud music and flashing lights, but you'd never know with this talented crew 😍

Learning the dynamic dance moves of @hansonbaliruno at @hot_republic's Miami Vice Night. These beautiful girls were so kind to join us and caught on quickly. Be on the lookout for episodes of me hosting Hot Republic's In The Know on YouTube. These phenomenal photos are by the very talented @hardshots_28

For all of you wondering what I'm up to now and what's this all about. Night Mist Productions is my new production company and its mission is to put dark-skinned kinky-haired black women in lead roles within multiracial casts (unlike the all black casts we are primarily placed in). Its goal is to focus on stories having nothing to do with racism, social injustice, slavery etc.
We'd love your support as every little bit counts. Check out the link in my bio to learn more.
