Wind Up New York is cool, but watch enthusiast meetups are far better, and they meet much more often, about once a month. This one is hosted in NYC, and you can be a part of them too!

You’ll find some grails there, along with great people and a lot of knowledge about watches. Empire Time Traders is a place for watch enthusiasts who want to be part of a community where they can talk, share what they know about watches, and trade.

You’ll find amazing vintage Rolexes, some cool Omegas, and pieces you’ve never heard of.

Finding a New Old Stock example with its original JB Champion ‘bullet’ bracelet, box, and papers in 2026 is almost impossible but The Watch Preserve has it

Buying a preowned watch has always been a topic of discussion some people like it and some people don’t.
If you’re in the market to buy a preowned watch and you’re scared of over polishing.

This video is a perfect example of what to look for in a Rolex that has been polished or restored.
If the polish is right or has it been abused. Walter from Universal time company comes in clutch again telling us how to identify a good condition Rolex.

Buying something vintage from the 70s - early 80s is an experience of its own but imagine buying something from that era that has never been worn. We have a term for that New Old Stock. I found the perfect place @vivashowroomnyc to buy new old stock coats, jackets and clothes from the 70s union made in New York City. A generation later, the warehoused collection is coming back after 50 years. I was lucky enough to stumble on the place @alfargosmarketplace and buy a woolen coat for myself, I’m sharing my experience from where you can buy it.

A hidden gem for watches in Chinatown that no one is talking about online is Exclusive Jewelers on Canal Street. Chen’s and Yan’s are great but there’s a line to get in and it’s hard to bargain with the prices going up with their popularity. Watch hunting in NYC is fun and a must!

Location: 195 Canal Street, NYC
