Don’t just tell your kids to get outside, be active, or put down the screens. Get up and do it with them.

Run with them. Play with them. Challenge them. Show them that movement isn’t a chore, it’s a way of life.

It’s ok to have rules around food and moving our bodies. It’s ok to teach the kids that food is fuel. It’s ok to teach our kids what a calorie is and how our body needs the fuel to live. It’s ok to teach them that living off junk food isn’t good and that nutrition is important.

It’s ok to teach our kids that doing things we don’t necessarily feel like doing (like moving our bodies and working out) is still necessary- this builds resilience and discipline.
